Hotel Description
You know what caught me off guard about Casa Má? The name might sound a bit odd, but this place actually nails that whole “authentic Canary Islands home” vibe they’re going for. I mean, when you’re walking down Calle Duque de la Torre in Arona, you’re not exactly in the thick of tourist central – which is honestly refreshing. The street’s got this residential feel where you’ll hear neighbors chatting on their balconies in the evening, and there’s a little bakery about two blocks down that locals hit up for their morning cortado.
The property itself feels like someone’s well-appointed family home that they’ve opened up to guests, if that makes sense. The 4-star rating is spot on – it’s got all the comfort you need without trying too hard to be fancy. What I really appreciated was how quiet it gets at night (you’re away from the main coastal strip where all the beach bars are), but you’re still only about a 10-minute drive to Los Cristianos if you want to hit the waterfront. The owners – or maybe it’s the management, I’m not entirely sure – clearly know their stuff about what travelers actually want. Like, there’s proper blackout curtains (thank god), and the Wi-Fi doesn’t cut out every five minutes like some places I’ve stayed on the island.
Here’s the thing about staying in residential Arona instead of right on the coast – you get a much better sense of how people actually live here. In the mornings, you’ll see kids walking to school and folks heading to work, not just tourists in flip-flops looking for the nearest beach club. The 8.5 rating feels earned because while it’s not going to blow your mind with some Instagram-worthy infinity pool, it delivers on the basics really well. Plus, parking isn’t a nightmare like it can be down by the beaches, especially during high season. I stayed there in late September when things were still pretty busy, and honestly, coming back to this quieter neighborhood each evening felt like a nice reset. The only minor thing I’d mention is that if you’re planning to walk everywhere, you’ll want to factor in that it’s a bit of a hike to the main tourist areas – but honestly, that’s part of what makes it feel more authentic.

Huge, I mean HUGE traditional house. It has an atmosphere that can't be faked. Great spaces. Has everything for a long stay. The location is not near the coast but if you want peace and also a location from whete you can reach everything easily this is your place.

Very nice interior, traditional house, really feels like a home. Well equipped.
Hosts are really responsive and super flexible, very easy going. Let us arrive early and leave late.
Location is great for cycling, and good infrastructure in the village for all the basics (supermarket, simple coffee shop, bakery, pharmacy).Rünno from Estonia (9/10)
Stunning older traditional house in a small town Arona. The staff is very friendly and supportive.

Michaela from Austria (8/10)

.Damian from Poland (5/10)
