Okay, so I’ll be honest – when I first saw the name “New! Sea View Apartment with Aircon in Center of Las Americas,” I was a bit skeptical. You know how these overly enthusiastic listings can be, right? But honestly, this place actually delivers on what it promises, which is refreshing.

The location on Avenida Rafael Puig Lluvina is sort of perfect if you think about it – you’re literally in the thick of Playa de las Americas without being right on top of the chaos. I mean, you can walk to Veronicas Strip in about five minutes if that’s your thing, but you’re far enough up the street that you won’t have drunk British tourists singing football chants under your window at 3 AM (learned that lesson the hard way at another place). The apartment itself sits in one of those newer buildings that actually looks decent from the street, and the elevator works – small victories, you know?

What really got me was stepping onto that balcony for the first time. The sea view isn’t just some tiny sliver you have to crane your neck to see – it’s proper ocean stretching out toward La Gomera on clear days. The aircon (which, let’s face it, is absolutely crucial here from June through September) actually cools the whole space efficiently without sounding like a jet engine. The apartment feels genuinely new too, not just “new” in that optimistic way landlords sometimes mean. Clean lines, modern fixtures, a kitchen where everything actually works – I could make proper coffee in the morning and not just instant stuff.

Here’s what I really appreciated though – the little details that show someone actually thought about guests. There’s decent WiFi throughout (I tested it in every corner because I’m that person), proper blackout curtains so you can sleep past sunrise if you want, and enough hot water for a real shower even after a long day on the beach. The walk down to Playa de Troya takes maybe seven minutes, and there’s a Mercadona just around the corner on Avenida de Bruselas where you can grab groceries without the tourist markup.

The building’s pretty quiet during the day, but honestly, this is Playa de las Americas – it’s never going to be a meditation retreat. Still, by local standards, it’s surprisingly peaceful. I’d say the 8.7 rating makes sense because while it’s not luxury resort level, it genuinely does what it says on the tin. The check-in was smooth (they actually answered their phone), and when the bathroom tap got a bit loose, someone came to fix it the same day.

Look, if you want to be in the center of everything but still have a decent place to crash that doesn’t feel like a hostel, this works. It’s particularly good if you’re the type who wants to pop back during the day to escape the heat or grab a quick shower before heading out for the evening. Just remember this area gets absolutely mental during peak season – we’re talking wall-to-wall people from July through early September – so if crowds aren’t your thing, maybe consider the shoulder months.

  Fantastic place, a beautiful pool, and a great location close to the ocean where I enjoyed the most amazing sunsets. Also, a nice long seafront where you can walk, enjoying surfers and the sound of the ocean. A very helpful host 👌.

  Great apartments and realy responsive, welcoming host Alex. The appartment is grate equipped. There is shampoo, conditioner, shower gel, towels, blankets, a good hair dryer, washing machine and even washing capsules.
  The kitchen is equipped with everything you need. The location is great, surrounded by bars, cafes, shops, the beach nearby and many, many happy people, including us. We would definitely like to return there.
