The name is absolutely ridiculous – I mean, NEW LUXURY RELAXING HOLIDAYS GOLF & SUN sounds like someone threw every appealing vacation word into a blender – but honestly, once you’re actually there on Calle la Borda, you sort of get it. The location is pretty brilliant, tucked away from the main tourist chaos of Costa Adeje but still close enough that you can walk to decent restaurants without breaking a sweat. I stayed here last spring and was genuinely surprised by how quiet it was at night, considering you’re basically in the heart of one of Tenerife’s busiest resort areas.

The staff actually knows what they’re doing, which isn’t always a given with these four-star places. Check-in was smooth – no weird hidden fees or that awkward dance where they try to upsell you on everything. The rooms are what you’d expect for the price point, nothing revolutionary but clean and comfortable with decent air conditioning (crucial in the Canary Islands, trust me). What really sold me was the attention to small details – fresh towels that actually smelled good, blackout curtains that work properly, and bathroom fixtures that don’t feel like they’re about to fall apart when you touch them. The Wi-Fi was solid throughout the building, which honestly saved my work trip when I needed to jump on calls.

Here’s the thing about Costa Adeje – it can feel overwhelmingly touristy, but this hotel sits in a spot where you get the convenience without feeling like you’re trapped in a resort bubble. You’re a five-minute walk from some genuinely good local spots (there’s this tiny tapas place around the corner that barely fits ten people but serves incredible gambas al ajillo), and the beach access is straightforward without the usual crowds you get near the big chain hotels. The 9.1 rating makes sense when you consider it’s not trying to be something it’s not – it’s comfortable, well-run, and positioned perfectly for both relaxation and exploration. The golf access is legit if that’s your thing, though I’ll admit I spent more time enjoying the sun terraces than perfecting my swing. If you’re looking for a place that handles the basics really well without any pretense, this weird-named hotel actually delivers.

  Restaurants and large grocery store are nearby, with restaurants considerably cheaper than the tourist areas.
  There is an excellent local taxi service which can take you to the coastal attractions in a few minutes

  im OG sind die Badezimmer und Schlafzimmer neu renoviert. Badezimmer modern und trendy, gefällt mir sehr. Die beiden Pools sind schön und sauber. Einer liegt eher sonnig, der andere mehr schattig (je nach Tageszeit und wie es einem gefällt). Es ist eine gated Community, also nur wer berechtigt ist, hat Zugang zum Gelände. Ausserordentlich ausgerüstet ist die Küche, mit allen erdenklichen Maschinen (teils scheinen die aber vom Flohmarkt zu sein). Es hat kostenlose Parkplätze direkt an der Strasse vor dem Eingang. Natürlich Teneriffa ohne Auto, eigentlich ein “no go”. Aber “la galeón” (Hyper Dino) ein paar Schritte entfernt. Auch das Dorfzentrum ist gut zu Fuss erreichbar. Tolle Restaurants in der Nähe.
