But this little 4-star gem in Tacoronte completely caught me off guard, and I mean that in the best way possible. The building sits right in the heart of this charming Canarian town, and there’s something genuinely refreshing about staying somewhere that feels more like a local secret than a tourist trap. The moment you step inside, you get this immediate sense that someone actually cares about the details here – the kind of place where the staff remembers your name by day two, and the lobby smells like fresh flowers instead of industrial cleaning products.

What really sets this place apart is how it manages to feel both polished and authentic at the same time. The rooms are spotless (seriously, I’m picky about cleanliness and they nailed it), but they’ve got character too – none of that sterile chain hotel vibe you get so often. The beds are properly comfortable, which matters more than people think, and the soundproofing is actually decent, which is crucial since you’re right on the main avenue. I was worried about street noise, but honestly, Tacoronte winds down pretty early anyway, and even during the day it’s more of a pleasant hum than anything disruptive. The Wi-Fi works everywhere – I tested it because I’m that person – and the air conditioning doesn’t sound like a jet engine, which is surprisingly rare. What impressed me most was how the place feels connected to its surroundings. You’re a short walk from Plaza del Cristo, where the locals hang out in the evenings, and you can actually get to some proper Canarian restaurants without needing a car or taxi. The staff genuinely knows the area too – they pointed me toward this incredible family-run tapas place that I never would have found otherwise, tucked away on a side street that doesn’t even show up on most maps.

Look, I’ve stayed in plenty of hotels across the Canary Islands, and honestly, most of them blur together after a while. But Mypris Home 2 has that rare quality where you actually feel like you’re experiencing the place you came to visit, not just sleeping in a generic box between tourist activities. The 9.4 rating makes complete sense once you’re there – it’s not trying to be the fanciest place on the island, but everything they do, they do well. The check-in was smooth, the common areas are inviting without being crowded, and there’s this relaxed energy that makes you want to slow down and actually enjoy your vacation. If you’re looking for a base in Tacoronte that feels authentic but doesn’t skimp on comfort, this is your spot. Just don’t expect it to stay a secret much longer.

  Thank you, Pepe. Very clean, cozy apartment. Amazing view of the ocean, there is a common pool. On the ground floor there is a small shop and several restaurants. The host was very kind and even helped to order a taxi to the airport for the morning flight. I recommend!

  It has everything you need to be comfortable. Very nice decoration with care in the details. The host was always available for anything we needed and willing to help. The natural sea pool in front of the apartment is really nice for swimming.

  Nos ha encantado el apartamento, está situado en un pequeño pueblo de pescadores, con encanto. Tuvimos una estancia muy cómoda y agradable, el apartamento da directamente al mar, con unas vistas muy bonitas, está perfectamente equipado y con una decoración moderna, estuvimos muy a gusto.
  La comunicación con el propietario fue muy fluida y estuvo pendiente de nosotros en todo momento.

  Nos ha encantado el apartamento, cumplió todas nuestras expectativas. Se encuentra en un pequeño pueblo de pescadores poco turístico y muy tranquilo. El apartamento tiene unas preciosas vistas, con una terraza que da directamente al mar, muy relajante Está muy bien equipado y es mucho mejor que en las fotos, bastante moderno y con una decoración muy cuidada. Lo recomiendo 100 %.
