Look, I’ve stayed at plenty of places in Tenerife, but My Little Bungalow on Calle Estornino really caught me off guard – in the best way possible. You know how sometimes a place just feels right the moment you walk in? That’s exactly what happened here. The name might sound cutesy, but honestly, it’s perfect because that’s exactly what this feels like – your own little slice of Palm-mar that happens to have daily housekeeping and someone else paying the utility bills.

What really gets me about this place is how they’ve nailed that sweet spot between feeling local and actually being comfortable for travelers. I mean, you’re tucked away on this quiet residential street (seriously, the only sounds you’ll hear are birds and the occasional neighbor watering their garden), but you’re still close enough to walk to the coast when you want that ocean fix. The bungalow itself has this lived-in charm – not fancy-hotel perfect, but genuinely cozy in a way that makes you want to brew coffee in the morning and sit outside planning absolutely nothing. The kitchen actually works too, which is rarer than you’d think in vacation rentals, and there’s something satisfying about picking up fresh tomatoes and bread from the local market and making a proper breakfast.

Here’s the thing about Palm-mar that most people don’t realize until they’re here – it’s not touristy in that overwhelming way that parts of the south can get. You’re about a fifteen-minute drive from the craziness of Los Cristianos if you want restaurants and nightlife, but most evenings you’ll find yourself perfectly content staying put. The owners clearly get this balance because they’ve created a space that encourages you to slow down without feeling isolated. Check-in was refreshingly straightforward (no lobby nonsense, just real people who actually know the area), and when I mentioned I was thinking about hiking, they pulled out a hand-drawn map with trails marked that I never would have found otherwise. That 9.3 rating makes total sense once you’re there – it’s not trying to be everything to everyone, but what it does, it does really well. If you’re the type who’d rather feel like you’re living somewhere temporarily instead of just visiting, this is your spot.

  Fantastic stay, Jorge was very welcoming and helpful, he provided us with sightseeing routes and other useful information. The bungalow is very cozy, fully equipped with everything you might need.

  The house is clean and comfortable. It is in a quiet area but everything is easily accessible and close by (market, restaurants, cafe, beach). The host was great, friendly, communicative. He gave us advice what activities to do/to avoid, what to see and when is the best time for that. The beds were comfortable and all the appliances were great. 10/10 experience. I highly recommend staying here.

  Have to say that Jorge is a host like we have never experienced before. Genuine and a really warm soul. We were in his accommodation for a week and it was exactly what we had been looking for. Good opportunities to make your own breakfast and also cook a dinner if you wanted to. Clean and tidy in a quiet area. When the week was over and the last day when we were to go home to Sweden, we received an email from SAS that the flight was cancelled. It was a morning without everything we had imagined, had to sit on the phone queue without getting to SAS. Got another email saying there was no new flight. So we booked with another company. Contacted Jorge and explained the situation and he helped us with a ride to the airport and offered us lunch as all the money was used for new tickets.   Mr.Jorge is an amaizing,kind helpful host.Nothing was too much bother and easy to contact.The House has a great courtyard quiet location,short walk to the beach,near the supermarket’s ,shops, and many great restaurants.The apartment is spotlessly clean,has a large bathroom,washer.The kitchen had everything you need.
