Hotel Description
Look, I’ll be honest – when I first saw “Monolocale vistamare al Island Village Heights” on my booking confirmation, I thought maybe Google Translate had a rough day. But you know what? This little apartment-style place on Calle Italia actually surprised me in the best way possible. It’s tucked up on the fourth floor (hope you don’t mind stairs, because Spanish buildings can be… well, let’s just say the elevator situation varies), and once you catch your breath from the climb, that sea view hits you right in the face. I mean, they weren’t kidding about the “vistamare” part – you can actually see the ocean from here, which in Adeje isn’t always a given despite what booking sites might suggest.
The thing about this place is it sits in this interesting spot where you’re technically in the tourist zone but it doesn’t feel completely overrun. Adeje can get pretty intense during peak season – I’m talking German tourists claiming pool chairs at 6 AM intense – but this little corner on Calle Italia stays relatively sane. You’re close enough to walk to the main drag where all the restaurants and shops are, but far enough up the hill that you’re not dealing with the street noise and constant parade of tour buses. Actually, that’s probably why it pulls a decent 7.9 rating despite being a modest 3-star setup. The bones are solid, the view delivers, and honestly, when you’re spending most of your day exploring Tenerife anyway, you just need a clean place to crash that doesn’t break the bank.
Here’s what I wish someone had told me before I booked: this is very much a monolocale, which means studio apartment for those of us who don’t speak Italian. So if you’re expecting separate rooms and hotel-style service, adjust those expectations. But if you want that local living experience – making your morning coffee while looking out at the Atlantic, picking up groceries from the little market down the street, actually having space to spread out your stuff – then this works really well. The building itself has that slightly weathered Canary Islands charm, you know? Nothing fancy, but it fits the neighborhood. And parking… well, welcome to Spain, where finding a spot is basically a competitive sport. But there are usually spaces if you’re willing to walk a few minutes, and honestly, once you’re settled in, you’ll probably want to explore on foot anyway. The whole area has this nice residential vibe that makes you feel less like a tourist and more like you’re just borrowing someone’s life for a week.

The pool was amazing, a great host with amazing communication. The view of Adeje is tremendous. Close to shops and bars. Few hills but isn't that just Adeje.
A great location but property not as advertised. – Laura from United Kingdom – 30 March 2025 (4/10)
The location for this property was great if you are wanting to avoid the crowding and noise of the coast and it has a great view over Costa Adeje
What could be improved: The property is not well looked after with gaps and broken seals in the terrace doors, the skirting board coming away and marks over walls and a cockroach trying to live in the bathroom.
I booked this place so I could cook for myself and unfortunately the kitchen is not fully functional as described. I couldn't even use the oven as there were no shelves and the host was meant to turn up the following day with one after I requested it and she never did. There are little pots and pans and utensils to use.
I slept poorly as pillows were too high and very solid, I had to put the sofa cushions in the pillow case instead. The biggest contributing factor to my lack of sleep was all the light coming into the apartment as the curtains are thin and there are multiple windows in the property that lead out to the apartment block landing so light shines through and you can hear all the neighbours.Buena relación calidad-precio – Mariona from Spain – 10 February 2025 (9/10)
El apartamento está muy bien situado y equipado con todo lo necesario. Tiene una piscina espectacular en la comunidad con unas vistas increíbles al mar. Además, hay tumbonas y camas balinesas muy cómodas para tumbarse alrededor de la piscina.
What could be improved: La limpieza del apartamento podría haber sido mejor. Todo lo otro estuvo muy bien.Very good – Natalia from Spain – 23 June 2025 (8/10)
Relación calidad precio y personal estuvo muy bien perfecto para descansar y disfrutar tu viaje, no hubo ningún problema con nada, todo correcto y muy amable todo el mundo
What could be improved: Realmente nada, no tengo nada que decir maloFenomenalne miejsce w dobrej lokalizacji – Aleksandra from Poland – 4 May 2025 (9/10)
Good – Didier from France – 1 January 2025 (7/10)
Appartement très propre, et bien décoré
What could be improved: Tiroirs de cuisine en état passable, mauvaise étanchéité à l'air de la porte fenêtreExceptional – Katie from United Kingdom – 23 April 2025 (10/10)
