You know what? I was honestly skeptical when I first saw the name “Modern sea front apartment in Garachico 3” – sounds like something generated by a computer, right? But stepping into this place on Travesía La Artesana completely changed my tune. The location is just… well, it’s everything you’d want from Garachico without the tourist circus you get in some other Canary Island spots. You’re literally a two-minute walk from those famous volcanic rock pools that everyone posts on Instagram, but here’s the thing – you can actually enjoy them because most people never make it to this side of Tenerife.

The apartment itself feels like someone actually lives there, not like a sterile hotel room. I mean, there’s real personality in the space – the kind of thoughtful touches that make you think the owner genuinely cares about your experience. The sea views from the main room are incredible, especially in the morning when the light hits the water just right. And honestly, the sound of waves is perfect white noise at night, though if you’re a super light sleeper, you might want to close the windows facing the ocean (the ones facing the courtyard are dead quiet). What really got me was how the whole place captures that authentic Canarian vibe – you’ve got the traditional architecture but with modern comfort that actually works. The kitchen has everything you need if you want to cook, which I’d recommend since the local market is just down the street and the tomatoes there are ridiculous.

Parking was easier than I expected – there’s usually space along the street, though I learned the hard way that locals start claiming spots around 7 PM when they get home from work. The check-in was refreshingly straightforward, none of that corporate hotel nonsense. What I didn’t expect was how much I’d end up loving the neighborhood itself. Garachico has this lived-in feeling that’s getting harder to find in beach towns. You’ll hear conversations in Spanish drifting from balconies, smell actual home cooking (not just restaurant food), and the pace is just… human, you know? The town square is where everything happens in the evenings, and it’s a five-minute walk away. Sure, it’s not going to be everyone’s cup of tea – if you need a pool and room service, look elsewhere. But if you want to feel like you’re actually experiencing Tenerife instead of just visiting it, this place delivers. The 9.5 rating makes complete sense once you’re there.

  First floor one bedroom apartment with great views over the Caleton rock pools and walking distance to a variety of good restaurants. The recently renovated apartment was very well equipped, quiet and spotlessly clean. Excellent value. Great wifi and shower. A washing machine was available on the ground floor but we didn’t need it. Host Jose was the very best, he couldn’t have been more helpful.

  The views are great and the flat is really nice. The location was fantastic – right in the centre. Comfy bed and good shower. The host was very helpful. Check in was super smooth. Parking was fine every time.
  
  What could be improved: The noise from upstairs is pretty bad. Someone was jumping and running around all the time. Obviously the host has no control over it, but just to bear in mind for those who are sensitive to noise. With the windows open, there is also a lot of traffic noise.
