Look, I’ll be honest – when I first pulled up to Mirador Balcon del Atlantico, I wasn’t expecting much from the name alone. But walking into this place on Calle Asturias in Adeje, you immediately get why it’s called “balcony of the Atlantic.” The views are absolutely ridiculous in the best way possible. You’re perched up here looking out over the coastline, and honestly, I spent way too much time just standing on that terrace with my morning coffee.

The private pool is what really sold me though. I mean, you’ve got pools everywhere in Tenerife, but having your own little slice of water while you’re staring out at the ocean? That’s something else entirely. The whole setup feels more like staying at a friend’s place who happened to score an incredible piece of real estate than a typical hotel experience. The staff actually remembers your name – not in that forced hospitality way, but because the place is intimate enough that they genuinely get to know guests. Check-in was smooth, parking was straightforward (which, if you’ve driven around Adeje, you know that’s not always a given), and the room had all those little touches that show someone actually thought about what travelers need.

What I really appreciated was the location itself. You’re in Adeje, so you’ve got easy access to all the southern coast action, but you’re tucked away enough that you’re not dealing with the cruise ship crowds that flood some of the beachfront areas. It’s maybe a ten-minute drive down to the main tourist strip if you want that scene, but honestly, I found myself just wanting to hang around the property most days. The evenings are particularly spectacular – you know that golden hour light photographers obsess over? It hits different when you’re watching it from your own private pool deck. The only minor thing I’d mention is that being up on the hillside means you’ll want a car if you’re planning to explore much, but that’s pretty standard for anywhere in Tenerife that has views like this. The 9.2 rating makes complete sense once you’re there – it’s one of those places that exceeds expectations without trying too hard, which is honestly refreshing in a world full of over-the-top resort experiences.

  The view from the apartment is absolutely breathtaking.
  The internet was exceptional—fast and reliable, perfect for both streaming Netflix and remote work, with great Wi-Fi coverage throughout.
  The host was very responsive, answering within minutes.
  The heated pool was a great addition, and both the bedding and private pool were cleaned regularly.
  Pool is a bit down the stairs, but thankfully there is a baby-proof gate in place.
  The apartment had air conditioning with heating, a well-equipped kitchen, and everything needed for the first few days of the stay.
  The beds were large and comfortable.
  While we didn’t use the garage due to its narrow entrance, there was plenty of parking space outside.
  
  What could be improved: The complex has extremely steep roads (like manual transition cars having trouble getting up steep). I was on crutches after knee surgery and it was very hard to get out of the apartment and back. So even though some things are in walking distance, it's hard to walk, especially back. Better to have a car or use a taxi.
  The community pool was too cold to use, and while the private pool was heated, it only reached 19°C (sometimes 17), so it was usually a bit colder than the ocean, but still nice.
  Due to the mountain location, it was generally colder, with only an hour or two of sun per day.
  Appliances are on the older side, with washing machine taking a long time to wash and dryer being not very effective. And generally although bedrooms seem to be renovated, some things are on the older side – one of the windows didn't lock, thankfully there were shutters behind that did. The door handle in one of the bathrooms was loose (this was inspected and we were assured it will be fixed shortly).
  One of the bedrooms has no windows and a very surprising layout – to get to that bedroom you have to go through another bedroom, closet, then bathroom and you get to the 3rd bedroom. Which makes one of the bedrooms walkthrough, keep that in mind.

  Sehr geschmackvolle Einrichtung und der traumhafte Blick !
  Die Küche war sehr gut ausgestattet, Kaffeepads , Gewürze , Öl, Essig und anderes waren freundlicherweise zur Verfügung gestellt!
  Die Vermieterin war sehr freundlich und hilfsbereit!
  
  What could be improved: Leider im Februar zu viel Schatten, ich hatte mich auf eine schöne Sonnenterrasse gefreut, musste aber immer wieder nach einem Fleckchen Sonne suchen! Schuld daran war zum Teil das sehr hohe Nachbargebäude! Auch die Gestaltung der Schlafzimmer war leider nicht optimal! Wir mussten unserem erwachsenen Kind das große Zimmer überlassen, weil wir nicht in einem Durchgangszimmer schlafen wollten! Dass das 3. Schlafzimmer nur durch den Gang durch das zweite Badezimmer zu erreichen war und im Übrigen kein Fenster hatte , war auch nicht erfreulich! Anfangs war der Pool bei 16. Grad, nach Information wurde dies unverzüglich verbessert!

  Niesamowita przestrzeń, super widok. Apartament jest mega i ciężko się do czegoś przyczepić. Lokalizacja raczej dla osób z autem.
