But honestly, when I pulled up to 4 Avenida J.M. Galván Bello in San Miguel de Abona, I realized this spot gets it right in a way that most places trying too hard just don’t.

The private terrace is where you’ll spend most of your time, and I mean that in the best possible way. It’s got this laid-back vibe that actually makes you want to slow down – something that’s harder to find than you’d think in southern Tenerife. The pool isn’t massive, but it’s perfectly sized for cooling off without feeling like you’re swimming laps in a fishbowl. What really sold me was how quiet it stays here, even during peak season. San Miguel de Abona sits just inland enough from the coastal chaos that you get this sweet spot of accessibility without the constant hum of tour buses. The mini golf element is actually pretty charming – not championship-level stuff, but it’s well-maintained and honestly more entertaining than scrolling your phone after dinner.

The location works better than you’d expect. Sure, you’re not stumbling out your door onto a beach, but you’re maybe ten minutes from some of the less crowded stretches of coast, and the drive down is actually pleasant. Plus, parking here is… well, it’s not a headache, which anyone who’s tried to park near Los Cristianos in July will appreciate. The check-in was smooth – no lengthy speeches about breakfast times or pool hours, just straightforward and friendly. The 8.7 rating feels about right; it’s not going to blow your mind with luxury touches, but everything works the way it should. The studio setup is smart too – you’ve got enough space to spread out without feeling like you’re rattling around in some oversized suite. I actually liked that it feels more like staying at a friend’s place than a hotel, if that friend happened to have really good taste in outdoor furniture and knew how to maintain a pool properly.

  Excellent facilities, everything you need for a holiday. Studio very clean, beautiful spacious terrace with the mini golf. Access to lovely pool, always with lots of space and sun loungers. Bed and pillows very comfortable, slept really well. Contact with owner faultless, answering any question within minutes.

  It’s a self check in property and it was easy to get into the building and apartment. The building also have a private pool that is very nice.
  The apartment was clean, with a big terrace to relax.
  We have clean towels and sheets, the kitchen has everything you need for cooking.

  The apartment was well designed on the inside. The apartment was close to the very nice pool. Also close to the shops and restaurants as well as the sea (note that beach is rocky), within 1 to 5 minutes walk depending on what you're looking for. The area was much less touristy in February than nearby Los Christianos and Costa Adeje. But still with nice restaurants (particularly recommend Alecrim; though pricier than the surrounding restaurants, the food was exquisite). We visited La Gomera and did an eco-friendly whale and dolphin watching tour, both highly recommended. Nice walks along the prom, particularly recommend going east to Los Adejos, a more typical Spanish coastal village.
