I’ll be honest – when I first pulled up to this place on Avenida el Palm-Mar, I wasn’t expecting much from what looked like just another apartment building in the Los Balandros development. But you know what? Sometimes the best finds are the ones hiding in plain sight. This little gem (and I mean that – it’s genuinely peaceful here) sits tucked away in Block F, and once you get past the slightly confusing entrance situation, you’ll understand why it’s got that 9.5 rating.

The thing about Palm-Mar that most people don’t realize is how different it feels from the tourist chaos up in Los Cristianos or Playa de las Américas. I mean, you’re still close enough to hit those spots when you want the action, but here? It’s actually quiet. Like, you can hear the ocean without having to strain over pool parties and street vendors. The apartment itself feels more like staying at a friend’s place than a hotel – and I say that in the best possible way. Everything’s been thought through by someone who actually lives here, not just decorated by a corporate team. The kitchen’s got the kind of setup where you can actually cook if you want to (proper knives, decent pans, not just the bare minimum), and the living space flows in a way that makes sense when you’re trying to unwind after a day exploring the island.

What really sold me on this place, though, was stepping out onto that terrace in the evening. The way the light hits the water from here – honestly, it’s the kind of view that makes you forget to check your phone for hours. And here’s something the listing photos don’t show you: the sound situation is perfect. You get the gentle ocean noise without the constant hum of traffic that plagues so many places along this coast. Parking’s straightforward too (there’s actually space, unlike some of the nightmare situations I’ve dealt with in other developments), and the whole check-in process was refreshingly human – no rushing, no attitude, just someone who clearly takes pride in making sure you’re sorted. The location works brilliantly if you’re planning to explore beyond the typical tourist circuit. You’re positioned perfectly for hitting some of the quieter beaches that locals actually use, and when you do want to venture into the busier areas, you’re not fighting your way through crowds just to get home. It’s that sweet spot where you feel like you’re experiencing the real Tenerife while still having access to everything you need as a visitor.

  The apartment is very clean, the bed is very comfortable. The location is quiet and the host is very friendly. Because we had a late flight we were able to leave the apartment later. The internet is great. The apartment has its own parking space in the garage, but we did not use it because there was always space on the street.

  The apartment is modern, very clean, quiet, and its location was ideal for our needs. The bed was comfortable even though it is a bit small. The living room has a large sofa bed and a table for dining. The kitchen was fully equipped with a large fridge with freezer, oven, microwave, toaster, coffee machine, and electric kettle. The bathroom has a small bath, the shower had good pressure and abundant hot water, and there is a bidet. We were provided enough towels, which were all good, and there were amenities. When we received a guest, the owners gave us linen for the sofa bed and extra towels without any issues. There is a laundry with washing machine (some soap is also provided), a drying rack you can put outside, and cleaning and ironing stuff. The plus of this place is a small private garden area with a table with chairs and a couple of sun beds, where our toddler could play and move freely. We were given free of charge a high chair and a crib for the baby. At our arrival the fridge was on (not always the case when travelling) and we were given a couple of complementary coffee capsules for the machine and a big bottle of water, which was much appreciated since we arrived late in the night. The apartment is in a residential area with swimming pools (two big and one small for little children) surrounded by sun beds. There is free parking space on the street but you will get a private parking space in the garage for an easier access to the building. There are a few options listed on where to eat but we always went to another restaurant suggested by the owners, a typical Canarian guachinche called El Cordero, which is only 10 minutes far away by car and that we fully recommend. For the check in, we were welcomed in person and shown the place despite the late hour. The communication with the owners via Booking.com and WhatsApp were fast and possible in both Spanish and English.

  Very nice apartment with large fenced outdoor area, perfect for our 2 year old daughter. The pool is right next door.
  Everything you need to live in for a few weeks is available.
  The location in town is perfect, supermarkets, many restaurants and everything else are within walking distance. The place itself is very quiet.

  Appartement was op-en-top ingericht: flesje wijn en water bij binnenkomst en de keuken was zeer verzorgd: zout, peper, olie, thee: alles was er! ook de badkamer met een eerste hulppakketje was volledig ingericht. Föhn, strijkijzer, strijkplank, kortom alles wat je thuis ook nodig hebt was aanwezig.

  Bodenebene Terrasse mit einem Tischgarnitur zum draußen Frühstücken. Gut ausgestattete Küche, bequemes Bett, großer Fernseher mit Streaming-Diensten wie Netflix und Amazon Prime. Parkplatz in der Tiefgarage, kleiner Laden in 50 Meter, halb Dutzend Restaurants in wenigen Minuten zu Fuß. Meer 10 Minuten entfernt (kein großartiger Strand), Naturpark direkt vor der Tür. Alle Entfernungen sind lächerlich: der nächste großer Stadt Los Cristianos/Las Americas ist in 12 Fahrminuten, Flughafen 20 Minuten, Santa Cruz 50 Minuten.
