You know what caught me off guard about Luxury House Paraiso Del Palm Mar? The name sounds a bit over-the-top, but honestly, it actually delivers on that promise. I’ve stayed at plenty of places that throw around words like “luxury” and “paraiso,” but this one gets it right – it’s tucked away in this quiet residential complex on Avenida la Arenita, which most tourists never stumble across because they’re all hanging around the main Palm-mar strip.

The location is actually brilliant if you know the area. You’re literally a five-minute walk from the beach (the good part of Palm-mar beach, not the rocky bits), but you’re far enough from the tourist chaos that you can actually sleep at night. I mean, Palm-mar isn’t exactly Playa de las Américas in terms of noise, but even so, this spot feels properly peaceful. The apartment itself – and it really is more like a high-end apartment than a hotel room – has this contemporary feel without being sterile. The kitchen is fully kitted out (I made coffee every morning instead of hunting for cafés), and the living area has those floor-to-ceiling windows that make everything feel bigger than it is. The terrace overlooks the complex’s gardens, which are surprisingly lush for this part of Tenerife.

What really impressed me, though, was how they’ve thought about the details. The wifi actually works everywhere – and I tested it because I had to hop on a few work calls. The air conditioning is quiet (you’d be surprised how many places get this wrong), and there’s proper blackout curtains, which is clutch if you’re trying to sleep off jet lag. The bathroom has one of those rain showers that actually has decent pressure, and they stock it with toiletries that don’t smell like industrial soap. Parking is included, which is huge because finding a spot in Palm-mar during peak season can be a nightmare – trust me on this one. The only minor thing I’d mention is that the complex can feel a bit maze-like when you first arrive, especially if you’re rolling up after dark, but the check-in process is smooth and they actually give you proper directions to your unit.

Here’s the thing about Palm-mar that a lot of people don’t realize – it’s perfectly positioned between the airport (20 minutes) and the livelier spots like Los Cristianos (15 minutes), but it has its own vibe. There’s a decent supermarket (Mercadona) about a 10-minute walk away, and some solid local restaurants that aren’t trying to fleece tourists. The promenade is perfect for morning runs, and if you’re into diving or snorkeling, the water here is clearer than what you’ll find further north. Honestly, with a 9.3 rating, I was expecting maybe some inflated reviews, but after staying here, I get it. It’s one of those places where everything just works the way it should, without any of the usual vacation rental headaches.

  The whole experience of renting this property was flawless. The complex has all necessary amenities – groceries, restaurants, beach club… The apartment is spotless, and has all necessary utilities. It is well distributed. The host was so welcoming and provided us with all the necessary information. There are two swimming pools where even in December it is great for sunbathing. The water in the pool was great for the kids to swim.
  Christmas cake was a great personal touch. The location of the apartment in the complex is good, the terrace is great with just the right furniture and space.
  Bottom line, that is a great accommodation and the service, provided by the host is at a very high level.
  We had three accommodations in Tenerife during our stay and this, by far, was the best in terms of location, amenities, cleanliness, comfort and host hospitality.
  Definitely will book again if we come to Tenerife again.

  The apartment in itself was very luxury and did have everything that could be required. The view was not the nicest one in the entire complex, but it did have a very nice terrazzo and the complex in itself was very beautiful and well kept. And the lady who welcomed us (Cristina) was very nice and forthcoming/helpful.
  
  What could be improved: Although the apartment was really in line with the expectations (being quite luxury), what really was insufficient were the kitchen utensils as these were very limited regarding glasses, cooking pots and pans and som other things. It was possible to use the ones available, but some additional things would have been quite nice.
  Th pictures indicated that there was also something at the beach (Bahia Beach Club?) that was part of the deal, but this was not true (and Bahia Beach Club is quite expensive).

  The apartment is beautiful, peaceful and fully equipped. Loved our stay. Walk to the many restaurants in the area (food was great at all of them), 2 small supermarkets and the waterfront all an easy walk. Ample street parking. We didn’t use the pools as it was a bit cooler.
  
  What could be improved: You will need a car (as we had) as didn’t see public transport/bus. It is also a 5 -10 minute drive out of the estate to the freeways. But then easy drive to all the attractions.

  The apartment is located in a quiet residential complex as is not a typical touristic place. which we extremely enjoyed. It is well equipped, clean and comfortable. Many parking opportunities around the complex, we never had a problem to park the car near one of the entrances. Though this is not a tourist area, there are some good restaurants a few pubs to go to – Flamingo, El Cortado, Siete Mares, Clouseau's or the Club House. Not to forget the excellent Chiringuito beach bar, which is the place to go to enjoy sunset at the beach. The host is very nice and helpful. Would recommend anytime.
  
  What could be improved: The southwest of Tenerife suffers from dense traffic every day, so be prepared to spend some time in jams.

  Every thing was fine, nice and clean on arrival. Towels and linnen were sufficient. Very good bed and nice interior as shown on the web.

  The apartment was lovely, having recently been decorated to a very high standard. It is in a quiet location within the complex and is situated nicely between the two swimming pools. The local supermarket is just a short walk away, as are the shops and restaurants. The owner kept in touch helping with any questions I had.
