The moment I stepped onto that duplex balcony and saw the Atlantic stretching out toward La Gomera – honestly, I just stood there for a good five minutes. The luxury duplex apartment on Avenida la Arenita isn’t your typical hotel setup, and that’s exactly why it works so well. Palm-mar itself is this quietly sophisticated spot that most tourists miss because they’re all rushing toward the chaos of Playa de las Américas, but I mean, their loss, right?

The apartment actually feels like someone’s gorgeous home that they’re letting you borrow for a while. The duplex layout is clever – you’ve got this spacious living area downstairs with floor-to-ceiling windows that frame those sea views, and then upstairs there’s this peaceful bedroom sanctuary where you can still catch glimpses of the ocean through the morning light. What really impressed me was how they’ve thought about the little things that matter when you’re settling in somewhere for more than a night or two. The kitchen isn’t just for show – it’s actually equipped well enough that I ended up cooking a few meals using ingredients from the local market down in San Miguel (which, by the way, is only about ten minutes away and has the best tomatoes you’ll ever taste).

Location-wise, you’re perched up enough to feel removed from everything but still close enough to walk down to the Marina San Miguel when you want some action. The 9.5 rating makes total sense once you’ve been there – it’s that rare combination of luxury that doesn’t feel stuffy and comfort that doesn’t sacrifice style. I stayed during shoulder season in late October, and honestly, the weather was perfect for spending entire afternoons on that terrace with a book and some local wine. The only minor thing I’d mention is that you’ll probably want a car if you’re planning to explore much beyond the immediate area, but there’s decent parking nearby and the roads aren’t too intimidating once you get used to them. Palm-mar has this wonderful way of feeling like a secret – you’re technically in one of Tenerife’s resort areas, but it’s got this laid-back, residential vibe that makes you feel like you’re living there rather than just visiting. The sea views aren’t just pretty – they’re the kind that change throughout the day, from soft morning pastels to those dramatic Atlantic sunsets that make you understand why people move to the Canary Islands and never leave.

  The property was excellent and very clean with everything you needed, the little extras like coffee machine and homely touches, really safe and secure and private.
  Pool and area so clean all the time.
  So nice to come away and have decent bed and pillows and even luxury sun beds.
  
  What could be improved: The only thing missing was air conditioning, which in height of season I think I would have struggled.

  What could be improved: Rien, le logement est complet à tous les niveaux toutefois un store extérieur sur la terrasse comme tous les autres logements serait vraiment appréciable en remplacement du parasol pour vraiment être un 10. En dehors de cela parfait rien à redire.

  Apparentemente veramente bello e molto spazioso in un contesto residenziale lussuoso e privato. Si può accedere dall’esterno solo con badge o apri cancello. Ottimo il garage privato con accesso diretto all’appartamento, (non ottimale per autovetture troppi grandi o lunghe).
  L’appartamento è disposto in due livelli con sotto una camera matrimoniale e un’altra camera molto spaziosa con addirittura due letti matrimoniali. Il bagno con la doccia molto grande, il sottoscala con ripostiglio e lavatrice, un terrazzo molto grande con divano e stendibiancheria.
  Al piano superiore soggiorno con divano, cucina completa di tutti gli elettrodomestici: lavastoviglie, microonde, frigo grande e un altro bagno. Due finestroni grandi che si affacciano su un altro terrazzo con tavolo e letto prendisole e una vista panoramica. L’hostess che ci ha accolto molto gentile e simpatico!
  
  What could be improved: Verso tardo pomeriggio il sole batte forte sul terrazzo e sui finestroni scaldando l’interno dell’appartamento, ci sono delle tende e un ombrellone ma una tenda sul terrazzo sarebbe ottimale.

  Prachtig appartement met een geweldig uitzicht en mooi zwembad. Oase van rust!
  
  Het appartement heeft twee verdiepingen, beide met een terras. Vanaf t bovenste terras uitzicht op zee en op Los Cristianos.
  Bovenverdieping met keuken, woonkamer en toilet. Keuken is van alle apparatuur voorzien. Heerlijk loungebed op het bovenste terras vanaf waar je in t donker kunt genieten van de sterrenhemel.
  Benedenverdieping bevat 2 slaapkamers en een ruime badkamer, terras met wederom een loungebed. Parkeergarage onder t complex, kleine auto is hier prima te parkeren.
  2 zwembaden waarvan 1 verwarmd. Ligbedden aanwezig.
  
  Palm Mar is een rustige plaats met een aantal restaurants. Aanrader is de belgische bakker voor heerlijke broodjes en zoetigheden. Voor drukte en vertier kun je met de auto naar het dichtbij gelegen Los Cristianos.

  Rauhallinen, juuri meille sopiva. Kuvat olivat totuudenmukaisia. Meillä oli käytössä vuokra-auto ja se mahdollisti tutustuminen lähialueiden nähtävyyksiin, majoituksen sijainti oli hyvä päiväretken kannalta. Ympäröivä kylä oli rauhallinen. Majoituksen Keittiövarusteltu oli hyvä, parvekkeet olivat upeat.
