But honestly, when I opened those sliding doors at Edificio Eva, the whole Atlantic just spreads out in front of you – I mean, it’s properly stunning. The apartment sits right on Avenida Quinto Centenario, which sounds fancy but it’s actually the main drag that runs along Puerto de Santiago’s coastline. You’re basically watching the waves crash against those dramatic black volcanic cliffs that Tenerife’s famous for, and on clear days (which is most days here, let’s be honest), you can see La Gomera floating on the horizon.

The apartment itself feels more like someone’s actual home than a rental – there’s real personality here, not that sterile hotel vibe. The kitchen’s properly equipped, which matters if you’re planning to cook with all the amazing local produce from the Santiago del Teide markets. I actually ended up making breakfast most mornings just so I could sit on that terrace with my coffee and watch the fishing boats head out. The whole setup works whether you’re a couple looking for romance or a small family – though I’d say it’s definitely geared toward people who appreciate a bit of sophistication. The furnishings are quality stuff, and everything feels thoughtfully chosen rather than just functional.

Location-wise, you’re in this sweet spot where you can walk to the little beach area and the harbor restaurants, but you’re not dealing with the crowds that hit Los Cristianos or Playa de las Américas. Puerto de Santiago has this more authentic feel – it’s where Spanish families actually come for their holidays, you know? The building itself is well-maintained (parking was never an issue, which is a blessing in these coastal towns), and my check-in was smooth as anything. I will say, if you’re the type who needs nightlife within stumbling distance, this might feel a bit quiet – but that’s exactly what I was after. The sound of the ocean pretty much drowns out any street noise, though you do get the occasional early morning fishing truck rumbling by. That 8.7 rating makes total sense to me – it’s not perfect, but it delivers on the important stuff: that view, the comfort, and the feeling that you’re actually experiencing Tenerife rather than just staying in some generic tourist bubble.

  Great location and view. Spacious rooms and large balcony. Apartment had all amenities one could need and was both well kept and clean. Very quiet, no noise from neighbours. Inside temperature in February was perfect during the night.

  Its a beautiful apartment at 2nd floor in a solid building at top of all other buildings of Puerto de Santiago / Los Gigantes. Its silent, except the traffic from the road at daytime. The terrace kicks ass, you have sun all day long (you can have shadow too) and see the sunset above La Gomera in the Atlantic ocean each evening.
  Bed is good, entertainment and kitchen electrics and washing mashine work fine. The owner is friendly, available if needed and speaks several languages.
