Look, I’ll be honest – when I first walked up to Lucky’s Home by TOR on Calle de Valois, I wasn’t expecting much. The name sounds a bit quirky, and you know how sometimes these smaller places can be hit or miss. But honestly? This place surprised me in the best way possible. It’s tucked into this residential street that’s actually perfect if you want to feel like you’re staying in a real neighborhood rather than some tourist bubble. You’re literally a five-minute walk from the main drag of Puerto de la Cruz, but far enough away that you’re not dealing with the chaos of crowds stumbling back from bars at 2 AM.
What I really appreciated – and this is something you don’t always get with four-star places – is how the staff actually seemed to care about making your stay work. The check-in was smooth (no waiting around for twenty minutes while they figure out their system), and they gave me genuinely useful local tips, not just the standard tourist brochure stuff. The rooms themselves are well thought out, I mean, someone clearly put effort into making the space functional without feeling cramped. The bed was comfortable enough that I actually slept well, which honestly doesn’t always happen when I’m traveling. Small thing, but the shower had decent water pressure – you’d be amazed how many places mess that up.
Here’s what really sold me on the location though: you’re close enough to walk to Playa Jardín when you want that black sand beach experience, but you’re also positioned perfectly for exploring the older parts of town. There’s this little bakery about two blocks away that locals actually go to (not just tourists), and the morning coffee there became part of my routine. Parking can be a bit tricky in Puerto de la Cruz generally, but the area around Lucky’s Home is manageable – just don’t expect to park right in front every time. The noise level is pretty reasonable too, especially compared to staying right in the tourist center where you’ve got street performers and late-night revelers. I mean, it’s still a lively area, but more in a good way than an “I can’t sleep” way. Overall, it’s one of those places where you can tell someone’s paying attention to the details without trying too hard to impress you. For an 8-rating property, it delivers exactly what you’d hope for without any unpleasant surprises.

I liked the location, decoration and service.
What could be improved: I think the smell needs to be fixed. I wouldn't go back just because of it, it was pretty annoying. They sent a person to fix it but it kept smelling bad. The apartment is very nice, comfortable and as stated in the description.
It's close to restaurants, shops, other amenities and the city centre.
The kitchen is very well equipped for cooking.
The WiFi was very good as well.
We were very happy with our choice.
What could be improved: The check-in was a bit problematic. Someone was supposed to meet us at the property, but they didn't come. We were also delayed due to the bus availability, however they could've texted/called.
I believe an agency manages the property and I had to talk to different people and call several times which wasn't straightforward. It was Saturday evening and the carnival was happening as well; so I guess not the best timing.
However in the end everything was solved, we got our set of keys, the cot we requested and we enjoyed our stay.

The location is central, 7 min walk to Puerto de la Cruz center and to the beach. Lots of stores, cafeterias, restaurants nearby, friendly neighbourhood. Check in and host super nice. The place was clean, has a small balcony, all the useful things in the kitchen and also a washing machine. Nice building also and very good that is has an elevator.
What could be improved: Finding a parking place can take up to 30 min, very crowded area. Noisy in the evening and also during the nights, due to the fact that the window is to a very crowded and circulated street. The apartment doesn't have air conditioning, it may be quite hot depending on the period of the year. Mieszkanie urządzone przytulnie, głównie w stylu IKEA, czysto, spokojni sąsiedzi, bardzo blisko do centrum i głównego deptaku, winda, w pobliżu cukiernia i pizzeria, widok na skarpę porośniętą roślinnością. Świetna lokalizacja do zwiedzania północy wyspy.
What could be improved: Lokalizacja w centrum to coś za coś – mieszkanie znajduje się na jednej z ostatnich ulic przed centrum z normalnym ruchem więc jego nasilenie w godzinach porannych i wieczornych powodowało znaczny hałas – nam jakoś bardzo nie przeszkadzało ale jak ktoś musi spać w ciszy to raczej niewykonalne.
