You know what surprised me about Los Molinos? It’s tucked away on this quiet street in La Laguna where you’d never expect to find such a gem. I mean, Calle Manuel Hernández Martín isn’t exactly the main drag, but that’s actually what makes this place special – you get all the charm of staying in this UNESCO World Heritage town without the tourist crowds stumbling past your window at midnight.

The building itself has that beautiful Canarian architecture thing going on, honestly feels like someone’s elegant family home that just happens to have been converted into a boutique hotel. When I walked in, there was this subtle scent of wood polish and something floral – not overpowering like some places that go crazy with the lobby fragrances. The staff genuinely seemed to know the area inside and out, which is rarer than you’d think. They pointed me toward this little bakery about three blocks away that I never would’ve found otherwise (and trust me, their pastries are worth the early morning walk).

What really gets me is how quiet it stays despite being right in the heart of La Laguna. The rooms face inward toward a courtyard, so you don’t get the street noise, but you’re still literally a five-minute walk from the cathedral and all those colorful colonial houses everyone comes to see. Parking was way easier than I expected too – there’s actually space nearby, which anyone who’s driven around these old Canarian town centers will appreciate. The rooms themselves feel substantial, if that makes sense. Good thick walls, proper shutters, none of that flimsy hotel furniture that wobbles when you set your suitcase down. I slept better there than I had in weeks, honestly.

The whole experience felt more like staying at a well-run guesthouse than a typical four-star hotel – and I mean that in the best way possible. There’s something refreshingly low-key about the place. No one’s trying to upsell you on spa treatments or pushing fancy restaurant reservations. Instead, they’ll tell you which bus to catch to get to the beaches in Santa Cruz, or mention that Tuesday evenings the local market stays open late. That kind of insider knowledge you can’t Google, you know? Plus, with a 9.3 rating, clearly other people are picking up on whatever magic this place has going on. It’s the sort of hotel that makes you feel like you’ve discovered something special rather than just booked another room for the night.

  Ben arredata con tutto il necessario per la permanenza. Simpatico terrazzo con amaca e caffè e tisane a disposizione degli ospiti. Parecchie zone per parcheggiare nei paraggi. Posizione a due passi dal centro. L’host gentilissima e super disponibile a venire incontro alle esigenze degli ospiti.

  Très bel appartement avec un petit espace extérieur.Quartier calme tout en étant proche du centre historique. Stationnement gratuit dans la rue ou au petit parking derrière.

  Posizione molto comoda con grande supermercato vicino e centro a pochi minuti a piedi. Casa fornitissima e comoda, bella terrazza con anche parte lavatrice molto apprezzata. Host gentile e flessibile
  
  What could be improved: Prendere le chiavi dall'host, in particolare dire un orario in cui arrivare a casa, è un po' complesso per chi come noi si muoveva per l'isola e non poteva prevedere quando si sarebbe spostato verso la casa. L'host è stata comunque gentile e flessibile

  Apartamento amplio, perfectamente equipado y muy cerca de la zona céntrica para ir incluso andando (5 minutos).

  Švarus tvarkingas butas, puikiai tinka 4 asmenų šeimai, nors buvom 3. Buvo visko ko reik maisto gaminimui namuose. Buvo prieskonių, kavos, skalbimo miltelių (nors turėjom savo). Buvo žaidimas vaikui. Šalia oro uostas, labai patogu tik atvykus į salą kelioms naktimis apsistoti. Lengvai gavom parking vietą mašinai gatvėje. Šeimininkė labai maloni, pateikė rekomendacijų. Būtinai grįšim jei dar kadanors grįšim į salą!
  
  What could be improved: Reikėtų atnaujinti keptuvę, taip pat trūko didesnio indo salotoms. Rytais bute buvo šalta, bet buvo mini šildytuvas tai juo pasinaudojom.
