You know what caught me off guard about this place? The name says “Los Angeles” but you’re actually in Puerto de Santiago on Tenerife’s west coast – and honestly, that’s way better than LA traffic any day. I mean, you’re literally a five-minute walk from Playa de la Arena, which has this gorgeous black volcanic sand that feels incredible between your toes (though fair warning, it gets scorching hot by midday).

The apartment itself sits on the first floor of this typical Canarian building on Calle los Ángeles, and the pool area is where you’ll probably spend most of your time. It’s not huge – maybe a dozen people max before it feels crowded – but the sun hits it perfectly in the afternoon, and there’s something really satisfying about floating there with Los Gigantes cliffs looming in the distance. The three bedrooms are actually pretty generous for a European rental, and the kitchen has everything you need if you want to cook (the Mercadona down the hill has decent groceries, plus there’s a little local market on Saturdays where the tomatoes are incredible). What I really appreciated was how quiet it gets at night – Puerto de Santiago isn’t exactly a party town, so you can actually sleep with the windows open and just hear the ocean.

The location is sort of perfect for exploring this part of Tenerife without dealing with the chaos of Los Cristianos or Playa de las Américas. You’re close enough to drive to Masca Gorge for hiking (about 20 minutes up some seriously winding roads), and the whale watching boats leave right from the marina below. Parking can be a bit tricky on the narrow streets – I learned to just park wherever there’s space and walk a few extra minutes rather than circling endlessly. The 7.9 rating feels about right honestly; it’s not luxury but it’s solid and comfortable, with that lived-in feeling that makes you actually relax instead of worrying about touching anything. The pool area gets busy with families around 11 AM, but early morning and late afternoon it’s usually just you and maybe one other person doing laps.

  We had to urgently move out of another accommodation and found this gem – and it made our holiday so much better! An amazing place in a great family friendly location close to fantastic beaches! The 3 bedrooms were more than enough for a family of 6 with a playground outside and a pool on the top of the building. It’s a residential area meaning that we saw the best of the island without too much noise. The communication with the hosts was excellent. Definitely recommend this place and would definitely come back here!

  Lovely location – had a good welcome from the team. The living room and kitchen were well set up with oil, spices etc and plenty of space to sit. Coffee machine was great.

  been a few times within the area first time I stayed in Puerto de Santiago.
  the apartment was spacious ,clean and well stocked for self catering also a good central location for shops,bars restaurants etc.the roof top pool is great with fantastic views.
  on the square opposite the apartment there's a little Spanish bar called the plaza it's very reasonable price wise for food and drinks owner is very helpful, two minute walk there is an Italian pizza place very good and very reasonable also .if you like a walk there is plenty to see absaloutly stunning scenery.

  A lovely apartment (and balcony) with great space for myself and 3 teenage boys (14-17) who really appreciated the rooftop swimming pool…bonus! All facilities really are provided.
  Excellent location (barring the noise from a new hotel opposite which is currently being renovated). Approx. 30 mins in a taxi from TFS Airport. Friendly residential area with a lovely square right outside the apartment which has a small children's playground and lots of social space to gather. Surrounding beaches and swimming coves are lovely.
  Short walking distance to supermarket, shops and bus stops (we didn't have a car but this wasn't a barrier to getting out and about). Buses arrive exactly on time!
  
  Special mention to Kata who called us when our flight was late in to see if she could get us some provisions from the nearby Lidl as it would be closed by the we time arrived! – a lovely gesture 🙂 and excellent communication with James (host) pre- and during our stay.

  Our plane was delayed and we arrived very late, after check-in time . My phone didn't connect to WiFi so we didn't receive the messages from the host . So a bit of a mix up (not the hosts fault) eventually managed to contact the host and the keys arrived within 10 minutes.

  Great space, clean and comfortable. Large enough for 4 friends to share for a break. Location was good, walking distance to local amenities and slightly out of the busier tourist areas which we liked. Plenty of crockery and cooking equipment for eating at the apartment. Beds and pillows comfortable, plenty of seating for relaxing and eating. Provided two sets of keys which was handy. Great communication from the host and super friendly.
