Hotel Description

You know what? I’ve stayed at a lot of places in Tenerife, but Little Paradise in El Médano really lives up to its name – and honestly, that’s saying something because most hotels with “paradise” in the title are usually trying too hard. This one’s different though. It sits right on Avenida Europa, which sounds fancy but is actually just the main drag that runs parallel to the beach, meaning you’re maybe a two-minute walk from some of the best sand on the island. The whole El Médano area has this laid-back vibe that the northern tourist spots don’t have – it’s where the windsurfers hang out, where locals actually go to eat, and where you can still find parking without selling a kidney.

The hotel itself has that boutique feel without being pretentious about it. I mean, it’s a 4-star place so you’re not roughing it, but there’s something refreshingly unpretentious about the whole setup. The rooms are clean and well-thought-out (actually functional bathroom storage – miracle!), and the staff genuinely seem to know the area. When I asked about where to get good fish that wasn’t tourist-trap expensive, the front desk guy immediately started talking about this little place near the port that I never would have found on my own. The 9.7 rating makes sense when you experience little touches like that – they’re not just checking boxes, they’re actually paying attention to what makes a stay memorable.

What really sold me on this place was the location within El Médano itself. You’re close enough to the main beach that you can hear the waves when it’s windy (which it often is – this is windsurfing central), but far enough from the bars on the waterfront that you’re not dealing with noise until 2 AM. The Médano Rojo, that distinctive red mountain that gives the town its character, is right there dominating the skyline, and honestly, waking up to that view never gets old. Plus, you’re perfectly positioned for day trips – the airport is maybe 15 minutes away, but more importantly, you can get to the Teide National Park in about 45 minutes, and the whole southern coast is at your doorstep. I spent one morning just walking down to the port area, grabbing coffee, and watching the windsurfers gear up for the day. That’s the kind of authentic Canarian experience you miss when you’re stuck in one of those resort bubbles up north.

  totally awesome owner!!!
  very nice place for relax and privacy with a direct access to the stunning ocean
  super clean and nice smelling
  well equiped (kitchen and bathroom)
  netflix on tv (after day of hiking and sightseeing a relax on a couch with your netflix is a good relieve)
  organic/ eco cleaning products – I did not expect this, so it was a nice surprise

  The host martin is a very charming man very helpful picked us up from the airport and dropped us of when we had to leave he catered for all are need ie food shopping site seeing places to visit as for the property the places is beautiful very clean and tidy very well thought out a spot for everyone lovely place to stay if you want tranquility peace and quiet the communal garden (his garden) is stunning with everything you may need to relax cook enough space for everyone to have there owe peace and quiet and enjoy your stay.

  Really lives up to its name! …. Glorious location, clean , spacious and tastefully decorated. Host, Martin, was very responsive and helpful …. Only wish we could have had longer there !

  Lovely little oasis right by the seafront. Perfect to listen to the sound of the ocean and to go for walks along the coast.
  The garden is beautiful with many nice corners to relax in.
  
  What could be improved: The proximity to the airport means there are quite a lot of planes flying overhead from early till late (not during the night) – that took some getting used to (especially for light sleepers like us).
  The property description also did not make it very obvious that there are 2 holiday lets & other regular residents living on site, so to us it did not feel quite as private as we had imagined.
  But all in all we would definitely recommend a stay here.

  This apartment truly is located in a little paradise. There are so many chilling areas outside which look so great and inviting! Martin greeted us upon arrival, he was very nice and welcoming; we also got to meet the wonderful Boss, a beautiful and kind dog that lives on the premises. The apartment truly is just a few steps away from the sea and it simply feels so private and relaxed – as does the whole atmosphere in this apartment and it's surroundings. All the neccesseties were there and we really couldn't ask for more. Would gladly visit again!

  Super nice host. We were picked up at the airport when we arrived and he even drove us back there to pick up our car the next day.
  Super nice garden with great opportunities to relax.
  
  What could be improved: It takes some time to walk to the center and the beach directly at house is a little challenging too, but there are good beaches close by one can walk to.
  Some times of the day there is quite some noise frome airplanes since the airport is really close by.
