You know what caught me off guard about Little Paradise? The name actually fits – and I’m usually pretty cynical about these things. It’s this unassuming little place tucked right on Avenida Europa, and honestly, if you’re not looking for it, you might walk right past. But that’s sort of the charm of it.

The thing about El Médano is that it’s not trying to be glamorous like some of the resort towns further south. It’s got this laid-back, slightly windswept vibe that grows on you – especially if you’re into windsurfing or just want to escape the crowds. Little Paradise gets this perfectly. The rooms are simple but thoughtfully done, with these big windows that actually open (you’d be surprised how many hotels seal you in). I loved hearing the sound of the wind through the palm trees at night, though fair warning – if you’re a super light sleeper, you might notice it. The trade winds here are constant, which is why the windsurfers are obsessed with this spot.

What really sold me was the attention to small details that most three-star places skip. The shower pressure is actually decent, there’s proper lighting for reading, and – this might sound weird – but the bed height is just right. You know how some hotel beds are either too high or too low? Not an issue here. The staff genuinely seems to care about getting things right, which explains that crazy 9.7 rating. I mean, you don’t get scores like that without consistently delivering. The check-in was smooth, parking was straightforward (there’s space right outside, which is a blessing in this part of Tenerife), and they gave me actual useful tips about the local beaches instead of just handing over a generic tourist map. They told me about this little tapas spot around the corner that I never would have found otherwise – places like that are gold when you’re traveling.

The location works really well if you want to explore beyond the typical tourist circuit. You’re close enough to the airport that you’re not dealing with hour-long transfers, but far enough that you don’t hear planes constantly. The beach is literally a five-minute walk, and it’s the kind of beach where locals actually hang out, not just tourists with guidebooks. Plus, if you do want to venture out to the more developed areas, you’ve got good bus connections, though honestly, I found myself just staying put most evenings. There’s something about the pace here that makes you want to slow down – maybe it’s the sound of the waves, or the way the light hits the volcanic landscape in the late afternoon. Whatever it is, Little Paradise captures it perfectly.

  The location with the beautiful garden, the view of the ocean and the quietness. Very relaxing. The only but could be the flights that passes by. But that is how it is on an island. I would definitely stay here again if I come to Tenerife

  The garden that you see as you enter the property is beautiful with many places to lounge and relax. It is right next to the sea and when the tide is high is a great location for a dip. I wanted to grill some meat on a barbecue one evening and the host helped me with everything to facilitate this, and the dining area is a very nice and cosy place to eat. The room itself is very cleverly laid out, with a small kitchenette with electric hob, bathroom and sitting area downstairs and the bedroom above.
  
  The garden outside is a great place to get some work done in the morning before heading out and enjoying the local area.

  Ein perfektes Urlaubsende!Nach 2 Wo La Gomera waren wir für 1 Nacht Gast in dem sehr liebevoll gestalteten Ferienhäuschen mit einem wunderschönen Palmengarten mit Zugang zum Meer. Wir konnten am Abflugtag ganz entspannt unseren Morgenkaffee am Meer genießen.

  Little paradise in El Médano doet zijn naam eer aan. Vanaf het moment dat ik aankwam, voelde ik me welkom dankzij de vriendelijke ontvangst door de host Martin.
  
  De accommodatie zelf is een kleine maar fijne en zeer schone studio, voorzien van alle benodigdheden en smaakvolle inrichting. Daarnaast kun je gebruikmaken van de buitenkeuken en de heerlijke tuin met diverse zitplekken.
  
  Rechts van de accommodatie bevindt zich een klein strandje en andere stranden zijn ook op loopafstand, waardoor je elke dag kunt kiezen waar je wilt zwemmen of zonnebaden. Een wandeling langs de kuststrook voert je naar het gezellige plaatsje El Médano, waar je allerlei voorzieningen vindt zoals restaurants, cafés, en winkels.
  
  Wat deze plek echt bijzonder maakte, was de combinatie van comfort, gastvrijheid en locatie. Het was de fijnste plek waar ik heb verbleven tijdens mijn vakantie op Tenerife. Gezien de strategische ligging is Little paradise in El Médano de perfecte uitvalsbasis om het eiland verder te verkennen. De garantie op mooi weer in dit deel van het eiland is veel beter dan in het noorden, wat het een ideale plek maakt voor zonliefhebbers.
  
  Kortom, als je op zoek bent naar een charmante, goed gelegen en gastvrije plek om te verblijven op Tenerife, dan kan ik Little paradise in El Médano van harte aanbevelen. Het biedt alles wat je nodig hebt voor een onvergetelijke vakantie.
