Look, I’ll be straight with you about Lindo Apartamento Junto Al Mar – it’s one of those places that doesn’t look like much from the street, but once you’re inside, you get it. The building sits right on Avenida Familia de Betancourt y Molina, which honestly sounds way fancier than it is, but here’s the thing – you’re literally a two-minute walk from Playa Jardín. I mean, you can hear the waves from the apartment, and in Puerto de la Cruz, that’s actually saying something because most places claim to be “near the beach” when they’re really a fifteen-minute hike away.

The apartment itself is on the second floor (thank god for that – ground floor gets all the street noise from the morning fish trucks), and while it’s definitely showing its age in some spots, everything works and it’s surprisingly spacious. The owner clearly knows what travelers actually need because there’s proper kitchen equipment, not just the sad little coffee maker most places give you. The Wi-Fi is solid too, which matters if you’re trying to upload all those black sand beach photos to Instagram. What I really appreciated was the balcony – it’s small, sure, but you can sit out there in the evenings with a bottle of wine from the Mercadona down the street and watch the locals walking their dogs. The whole neighborhood has this lived-in feel that you don’t get in the touristy parts of town.

You know what really sold me on this place though? The location is just… practical. There’s a pharmacy right around the corner (learned that the hard way when I got too much sun on day one), and you’re walking distance to both the old town charm and the newer restaurant scene. The check-in was refreshingly straightforward – no weird key pickup drama or confusing instructions. Parking can be a bit of a dance, especially during the winter months when all the European retirees descend on the Canaries, but there’s usually something within a block or two. The 8.9 rating makes total sense to me – it’s not luxury by any stretch, but it delivers exactly what it promises without any nasty surprises. For a three-star place in Puerto de la Cruz, especially at this price point, you’re getting honest value and a genuine taste of how locals actually live here.

  Location – closed to restaurants, bars, supermarkets, promenade, beaches
  The appartement is newly restored with a good taste for detail and decoration

  Maybe the best possible location within the town. Right in the middle, close to every important area. (Beach, Center, pedestrian area, shops, restaurants, viewpoints, La Paz area, everything). The flat itself is modern, well furnished and cosy, with a comfortable sized balcony.

  First, the apartments are exactly as you see in the pictures. The impression when you walk in is the same as when you see the pictures – beautiful design, spacious, bright, very clean, no foreign odours, new furniture and renovations. During the day it is bright from the sun and thanks to floor-to-ceiling windows and in the evening – the apartment is beautifully lit. I liked everything. The kitchenette is equipped with everything you need (even has a juicer and blender), new fridge, full set of crockery. The living room is spacious, it has a large comfortable sofa, beautiful mural on the wall, side round wooden table with candles, window has two lies curtains a thin curtain and thick blackout. The balcony has a corner ocean view, so I had a lovely breakfast there. The bedroom is small, quiet, cozy, very comfortable mattress (medium firm), clean white linen, comfortable pillows, large wardrobe with lots of hangers. The bathroom is quite spacious, has a new plumbing (w/o any problems) and beautiful mosaic floor. The towels are thick, clean and snow-white (in the wardrobe you also have an additional set of grey one).
  The living-room window overlooks a rather busy street, but it did not bother me, the small window in bedroom overlooks the side building, so is more quietly.Wi-fi was perfect
  Neighbors are great because I didn't hear them at all.
  Very convenient location, 5 min to SuperDino and 8 min to Mercadona on foot, 5 min to the beaches of San Telmo and Martianez.
  The owner is very friendly, always ready to help, you can text him in WatsApp on any problems. Also he will give you the list of restaurants and café is worth visiting. What I personally visited and can recommend is Casa Julian Balcon del mar. I arrived early in the morning and settled in immediately without any problems. As I understand, you can check in and out at any time, if the apartments are available, no extra charges.

  Apartmán byl velmi hezky zařízený na skvělém místě. V blízkosti je obchod, pláž. Během pobytu se pokazil bojler na ohřívání vody, majitel pohotově reagoval a druhý den byl bojler vyměněn. Byli jsme velmi spokojeni. Doporučujeme!

  El apartamento está reformado con mucho gusto y tiene un diseño moderno y funcional. Es amplio y muy cómodo. La cocina está muy bien equipada. Dispone de lavadora.
  En la habitación hay un gran armario empotrado.
  La cama de matrimonio es grande y dispone de un colchón muy cómodo. Se descansa de maravilla.
  La zona es algo ruidosa al estar en el centro, pero por la noche no tanto.
  Para aparcar es algo difícil en los alrededores, por lo que es preferible aparcar en el parking gratuito que hay en el muelle.
  
  What could be improved: Tuvimos algún contratiempo, pero el anfitrión lo resolvió con profesionalidad y rapidez.

  De locatie is ideaal.
  Je bent binnen een paar minuten lopen bij de boulevard, de zee en het centrum.
  Naast het appartement zit een grote supermarkt (Hyperdino).
  
  Je auto parkeren bij het appartement is lastig door de drukte op de parkeerplaatsen, dus je kan het beste parkeren op een grote gratis parkeerplaats aan het begin van het centrum.
  Binnen 10 minuten lopen ben je bij het appartement.
  
  Het huis is schoon en voorzien van alles wat je nodig hebt.
  
  Puerto de la Cruz is ook leuke plaats. Leuke terrasjes, veel bars/restaurants.
  Vanuit Puerto de la Cruz kun je ook makkelijk andere dingen bekijken.

  Die Wohnung und die Lage waren super! Sie ist frisch renoviert und sehr sauber, genau wie auf den Bildern. Puerto de la Cruz ist (wenn auch etwas touristisch) sehr zu empfehlen, genau so wie diese Wohnung!
  
  What could be improved: Die Matratze war uns etwas zu hart aber das ist natürlich immer Ansichtssache 🙂
