So I’ve stayed at Las Palmeras a few times now, and honestly, it’s one of those places that grows on you. The first thing you notice pulling up to Paseo de las Palmeras is how quiet this stretch of Puertito de Güímar actually is – I mean, you’re right on the coast but somehow dodge all the tourist chaos that hits the bigger resorts up north. The hotel itself has that classic Canarian architecture thing going on, white walls and those terracotta tiles that actually make sense in this climate, not like some of the newer places that look like they were dropped in from Miami.

What really gets me about Las Palmeras is the staff – they’re locals, mostly, and they know their stuff. The guy at reception (I think his name’s Miguel?) pointed me toward this little fish place about ten minutes’ walk down toward the harbor that I never would’ve found otherwise. The rooms are solid for a four-star, nothing fancy but everything works, and the beds are actually comfortable, which… you know how hit-or-miss that can be in Spain sometimes. The balconies face different directions, so if you’re booking, ask for one facing southeast – you’ll get the morning sun without the afternoon heat beating down on you. Oh, and the Wi-Fi is surprisingly decent, which matters if you’re trying to work remotely or just want to upload photos without waiting forever.

The location is honestly perfect if you want to explore the real Tenerife. You’re maybe twenty minutes from the airport, which is clutch for early flights, but you’re also right at the base of some incredible hiking trails that wind up into the mountains. The black sand beaches here aren’t the postcard stuff you see in the brochures – they’re volcanic and dramatic, and the water’s surprisingly clear once you get used to the darker sand. Parking is free, which is a godsend because rental cars are basically essential here unless you want to be stuck waiting for buses that run on their own mysterious schedule. I will say the area gets pretty windy in the evenings, especially in winter, so pack a light jacket even when it’s warm during the day. The 8.4 rating makes sense to me – it’s not luxury, but it’s authentic and well-run, and honestly, that’s harder to find than you’d think these days.

  It was just at the beach which was amazing and the place is very spcious.
  
  What could be improved: The neighbours are very loud, lots of dogs, cars. There were no warm blankets. Contact with the personel was terrible. I got the information that I need to fill the form before check-in. I was already on Tenerife so I had to find a print office to print the form. Apparently there were free forms in the apartment, but it was impossible to communicate with the personel. I asked also for WiFi passwort and nobody responded me so I used my mobile data. There was no information about the WiFi inside the apartment.

  The property was spacious and accessible, with a direct exit to the ocean. Unfortunately, it was a bit noisy because of the neighbours and the cars that were passing by the window, but the other facilities were great.
  
  What could be improved: There were many ants in the bedrooms and living room. Also, all the noise from the neighbours was very loud.

  Era tal cual las fotos, ubicado frente a la playa y con todo lo necesario en baño y cocina. Aportaron cuna de bebé, muy buena!
  
  What could be improved: No hubo contacto con los encargados del alojamiento en toda la estancia, preguntamos dudas y no obtuvimos respuesta.

  Все було чудовим! Квартира прямо на березі, має терасу, на якій ви можете пити каву та споглядати за світанком! Пляж зовсім поруч й це фантастичне помешкання з двома спальними кімнатами.
  
  What could be improved: Мені не вистачило маленьких дрібничок гостинності – пляшки води, масла, солі та капсул кави для ранків) а також, було б супер надавати клієнтам хочаб декілька капсул для пральної машини, бо дивно купувати упаковку, коли потрібно зробити одне прання.
