Hotel Description

You know what struck me first about La Sirena Playa A? It’s tucked right on Calle Guayanfanta, which honestly most tourists walk right past without noticing – but that’s actually the beauty of it. While everyone’s crowding around the main drag near Playa Jardín, you’re literally a two-minute stroll from all that action but without the constant noise of tour groups and street vendors. I mean, you can still hear the waves if you open your balcony door at night, which is pretty much perfect.

The thing about Puerto de la Cruz is that it’s got this weird charm where the old Canarian buildings mix with, well, some pretty questionable 70s architecture. La Sirena somehow manages to feel authentically local without being stuffy about it. The lobby’s got these beautiful volcanic stone details – you’ll see this everywhere in Tenerife once you start noticing – and the staff actually remembers your name after day two, which surprised me. Check-in was smooth (they speak decent English if your Spanish is rusty), and they gave us this little map with hand-drawn notes about which tapas places to hit. Turns out their recommendation for the octopus at Casa Pepe was spot on.

What really sells this place though is the location knowledge they share. The front desk guy – I think his name was Miguel – told us about the morning fish market that happens just a few blocks over on Wednesdays and Saturdays. Most hotel staff would just point you toward the tourist restaurants, but these folks seem to actually live here, you know? The rooms are clean and comfortable without being fancy – think good mattresses, reliable hot water, and that slightly salty breeze that comes with being this close to the ocean. Parking can be a bit tricky on the street, but there’s a small lot behind the building that they don’t advertise much. The 9.4 rating makes sense when you realize it’s not trying to be something it’s not – it’s just a really solid place to stay while you explore the real Puerto de la Cruz, not the postcard version.

  Prettig verblijf gehad bij La Sirena.
  
  Heerlijk zo direct aan het strand. Hoewel er momenteel niet gezwommen kan worden (iets met de waterkwaliteit), vond ik het geweldig om wakker te worden met dit uitzicht en het geluid van de golven.
  
  Goede (uitgebreide) keuken, losse slaapkamer en prima badkamer met regendouche.
  
  Contact met Pedro was prettig. Hij antwoordt snel bij vragen.

  Das Apartement ist offensichtlich neu renoviert, ansprechend eingerichtet und komfortabel ausgestattet. Jedes Apartement verfügt über Meeresblick . Das Check-in und Check-out ist komplikationslos. Sehr aufmerksamer und um Qualität bemühter Service.

  Mit der Unterkunft an sich hat alles gestimmt. Die Lage ist Top und der Host ist nett und sehr gut per Whatsapp zu erreichen. Die Unterkunft ist sehr sauber und gut ausgestattet. Für zwei personen optimal.
