You know what struck me first about La Paredita Casa Taoro? It’s tucked away on this quiet little street – Calle Granero – that most tourists probably walk right past without noticing. I mean, Tanque isn’t exactly on everyone’s radar when they’re planning their Canary Islands trip, but honestly, that’s what makes this place special. It’s got that authentic Tenerife vibe that’s getting harder to find these days, especially somewhere that actually knows how to treat guests properly (and trust me, with a 9.6 rating, they’re clearly doing something right).

The building itself has this really charming local character – you can tell it’s been lovingly restored rather than just slapped together for tourists. When I walked in, there was this immediate sense of calm that you don’t get at those massive resort complexes down by the coast. The owners clearly live and breathe this place, and it shows in all the little details. The rooms are thoughtfully designed without being fussy, and honestly, the attention to cleanliness and comfort rivals places charging twice as much. What really got me was how quiet it stays at night – you’re far enough from the main tourist drag that you actually get proper sleep, but still close enough to explore the real Tenerife that locals know.

Here’s the thing about staying in Tanque – most people rush through this area on their way to Mount Teide or the northern coast, but they’re missing out. You’re actually in this perfect spot where you can hit the hiking trails early (before the crowds arrive), grab authentic Canarian food at family-run places that haven’t been discovered by Instagram yet, and still be back for a peaceful evening. The drive down to the coast takes maybe twenty minutes if you want beach time, but you’ll probably find yourself preferring the mountain air and the genuine local atmosphere. La Paredita Casa Taoro gets this balance perfectly – it’s polished enough that you feel pampered, but authentic enough that you feel like you’re experiencing something real. Plus, parking is actually manageable here, which anyone who’s driven around Tenerife’s busier towns will appreciate more than they probably should.

  This apartment was exactly what we needed: in a quiet but beautiful environment, with lovely volcano views and easy access to the northwest coast. The garden is beautiful and full of flowers and the house is beautiful renovated with lovely wooden details. The kids loved it here! Great communication with the host, fresh linen, fruit and herbs. Highly recommend this place!

  What could be improved: The bedroom next do the kitchen would be brighter and with better views as a main bedroom – the other one has it’s window to the shared terrace which is less intimate
  The bathroom could do with minor work – the roof should be covered ideally and the shower curtain is a no no
  The kitchen window needed to be open for electricity – maybe this could be fixed and the kitchen touched up a bit

  Casa Taoro byla nejkrásnějším ubytování, které jsem navštívila. Při vstupu do domu na vás dýchne historie, typická dřevěná okna, krásné stropy a podlahy, výhled na Teide je dechberoucí. Zároveň je ubytování perfektně vybaveno, takže vám během pobytu opravdu nic nechybí. Skvělá lokalita, zahrada plná květin, perfektní čistota, měkké ručníky krásně voněly a jako tečka výzdoba z živých květů a čerstvé ovoce. Moc jsme si to užili děkujeme!

  Потрясающий дом. Я как будто оказалась в детстве в деревне у своей испанской бабушки. Жаль, у меня её нет. Теперь очень захотелось.
  
  В качестве комплимента нам оставили фрукты, детям положили киндеры, вода в холодильнике, есть все необходимое для жизни. Очень красиво и внутри, и снаружи.
