When I first pulled up (and yeah, parking is pretty straightforward around there, which is a relief), I was expecting something basic for a 3-star place, but this little gem has that authentic Canarian charm that the bigger hotels try to fake.

The location is actually perfect if you want to experience the real Tenerife without being stuck in the tourist bubble. Los Realejos isn’t flashy – it’s where locals actually live and work, which means you’ll find proper tapas bars within walking distance and that morning coffee ritual where everyone gathers at the corner café. The house itself has this wonderfully relaxed vibe that matches the “sol y relax” promise, with these traditional touches that feel genuine rather than staged for Instagram. What really struck me was how quiet it gets in the evenings – you can actually hear the sounds of the neighborhood winding down, maybe some distant conversation from a nearby terrace, but nothing that’ll keep you awake. The rooms have that lived-in comfort that makes you want to sprawl out and actually unpack your suitcase instead of living out of it.

Here’s the thing though – that 9.4 rating isn’t just inflated vacation euphoria talking. The owners (or whoever runs this place) clearly give a damn about the details that matter. Check-in was smooth, they know the area well enough to give you real recommendations, and honestly, the whole experience feels more like staying at a friend’s place than a hotel transaction. The “sol” part of the name delivers too – there’s this lovely interplay of light throughout the day, and you’ll find yourself naturally gravitating toward different spots as the sun moves. It’s not fancy in that polished resort way, but it’s got character and that increasingly rare quality of feeling authentic. If you’re the type who’d rather discover a neighborhood bakery than eat at the same international chain, and you want somewhere that feels connected to actual Spanish life rather than tourist Spain, this is your spot. Just don’t expect concierge service or a pool bar – this is about slowing down and soaking up that genuine Canarian pace of life.

  Amazing place!!! It was spotless and crazy clean. From the moment we entered the apartment, we were met with a very nice smell, and the first thing that surprised us was the attention to detail. The place is very nicely arranged and you have everything you need for your stay. The kitchen is very well equipped. The host provided us with plenty of towels and also bat robes. All the linen had an incredibly nice smell so we left it at home in this place. The host and her family are super easy to communicate with and we even had the pleasure to play with one of their dogs. They answered all our messages and questions and also received some tips on which places to go and visit. I would recommend anyone to stay here and enjoy this accommodation but at the same time appreciate the effort this family has put into making this place so nice.
  We enjoyed serving breakfast on the terrace in the quietness of the neighborhood and the evenings in the jacuzzi whilst serving a glass of wine.

  La terrasse et le jardin sont très agréables.
  Situé dans un endroit calme , au cœur d’un quartier résidentiel , il est également parfait pour visiter le Nord de Ténérife .

  Todo. El alojamiento tenía todo lo necesario, es tal cual las fotos y la estancia ha sido una maravilla. Es una planta baja de la casa independiente, tienes todas las comodidades y la dueña ha tenido el detalle de dejar dos bolsitas de detergente para la lavadora, aceite, café, champú/gel… la tv es smart por lo que pudimos poner Netflix, hbo etc. por lo que ha sido muy fácil y cómodo estar ahí, ha sido una despreocupación total. Volvería sin dudarlo!!!
