Look, I’ll be honest – when I first saw the name “Krisant Gold Rural Luxury Privat Pool” (yes, they spelled “Private” wrong, but somehow that adds to the charm), I wasn’t sure what to expect. But driving up Camino de La Choza, winding through those volcanic hills above Santa Cruz, you start to get it. This isn’t your typical Tenerife hotel experience – it’s more like staying at someone’s really well-appointed country retreat, except that someone happens to have impeccable taste and a serious thing for privacy.

The location is actually genius if you know Tenerife at all. Most people stick to the southern beaches or get lost in the touristy chaos of Puerto de la Cruz, but this spot sits in that sweet zone where you’re still close enough to Santa Cruz for dinner runs (maybe 15 minutes down the winding road), yet far enough up in the hills that you feel like you’ve escaped to another world entirely. The mornings are what got me – you wake up to this incredible silence, broken only by the occasional goat bell or the wind through the pines. And that pool? It’s not huge, but it’s yours, and there’s something deeply satisfying about floating there at sunset with nothing but volcanic landscape rolling out below you. The water’s heated too, which matters more than you’d think – even in Tenerife, those mountain evenings can get surprisingly cool.

What really sets this place apart though is the attention to detail that you only notice after you’ve been there a day or two. The way they’ve positioned the outdoor seating so you catch the morning sun but stay shaded during the brutal afternoon heat. How the kitchen is actually stocked with good stuff – not just the usual sad hotel coffee pods, but proper Spanish olive oil and local honey. The parking situation is straightforward (trust me, this matters when you’re navigating those narrow mountain roads), and the Wi-Fi actually works, which isn’t always a given in rural Tenerife. I mean, you come here to disconnect, but it’s nice to know you can check in with the world if needed. The only minor thing I’d mention is that grocery runs require a bit of planning – the nearest decent supermarket is back toward town, so stock up when you’re passing through. But honestly, that forced slowdown is part of what makes this place special. You’re not just staying somewhere; you’re settling in, even if it’s just for a few days.

  I recently spent a couple of nights at this beautiful place, and it truly exceeded my expectations. From the moment I arrived, I was struck by how clean, peaceful, and welcoming it felt. Everything about this place made me feel instantly relaxed — like a little tropical escape tucked away from the noise of everyday life.
  The rooms have a charming rural design that adds so much character and warmth to the stay.
  The pool and its surroundings had a beautiful tropical vibe — I loved relaxing there for hours, surrounded by lush greenery. I loved the picnic area, perfect for relaxing with a book while being surrounded by nature.
  One of my favorite highlights was the garden. It’s not every day you get to pick fresh mangos, avocados, and bananas right from the trees! That little touch of paradise made the experience even more special.
  And I can’t say enough good things about the host. Ioana was warm, kind, and went above and beyond to make sure everything was perfect. It really felt like staying with a friend who genuinely cares about your comfort and happiness.
  I would definitely recommend this little paradise to anyone looking for a clean, comfortable, and relaxing stay with beautiful surroundings and an authentic local touch.

  The host Ioana couldn`t be better, great attendance at all time.
  Wonderful place with great garden and very peaceful ambient. Furniture and appliances were brand new and in a perfect state and fast Internet connecting point.
  A very natural, special and tasty design of the place from the owner. The pool and its surrounding is an absolute tropical beauty as seen in the pictures. All clean, spotless bathroom. A very special moment in a very special place. I don´t usually give a 10 but in this case it is more than deserved. Bravo!!

  La casa es preciosa, tal cual sale en las fotos. Muy buen gusto en la decoración, muy funcional y gran host.
  
  What could be improved: Nos gusto todo. Sabíamos perfectamente en que zona estábamos y buscábamos tranquilidad. Si buscas algo cercano a restaurantes, tiendas o playa, este no es tu sitio porque dependes completamente del coche. Dicho esto, es facil de encontrar y para nosotros no supuso ningun problema porque como digo lo que buscábamos era desconexión y tranquilidad y en esta casa no se puede estar mejor.

  Nos encantó todo: desde los detalles que nos dejó Ioana al llegar, la limpieza, la decoración, la comodidad, la tranquilidad y lo cuidado que está todo. El alojamiento tiene todo lo necesario para pasar unos días increíbles, no nos faltó nada.
  La piscina es genial y está todo muy bonito rodeado de plantas y árboles.
  
  Ioana fue superatenta, se nota que le pone cariño a lo que hace. Es raro encontrar un sitio donde el anfitrión te trate tan bien desde que llegas hasta que te vas.
  
  Recomendamos la estancia al 100% y estamos deseando volver, ¡mil gracias por todo!

  Sin duda es una estancia increíble. Un lugar perfecto para desconectar de todo y conectar con uno mismo.
  
  Lo que más me gustó es que estaba todo súper limpio, impecable diría yo, y la ubicación es ideal, justo entre mar y montaña, con unas vistas preciosas hacia el mar y con la tranquilidad que desprende las vistas a la montaña.

  Un loc incredibil, ideal pentru odihna și relaxare, o vilă rurală de lux, aproape de plajă dar si la 2 minute de intrarea în Parcul National Teide, cu o gradina exotică minunată și piscină privată, foarte cochete, interior complet nou, dotat cu toate cele necesare, impecabil de curat, un loc foarte romantic, ideal pentru a petrece un sejur liniștit și relaxant. Amfitrioana noastră a fost foarte amabilă, atentă la cel mai mic detaliu, ne a primit cu șampanie și fructe proaspete din grădina ecologică proprie.
  Un loc recomandat sută la suta în care cu siguranță vom revenii foarte curand .

  Extraordinar!
  Casa Krisant Gold este una dintre cele mai fabuloase cazări pe care le am avut. O casă în stil modern, în mijlocul unei impresionante grădini tropicale, foarte bine situată, între mare și munte, cu doar 5 minute de mers până la plaja.
  Proprietara, Ioana a fost foarte atentă, ne a oferit un mic dejun excelent, cu fructe ecologice proaspete și multe alte bunătăți. Casa este nou nouță, impecabilă, comodă și foarte bine dotată cu toate cele necesare, internet excelent, curățenia de 10. Piscina este o bijuterie, o oază de relaxare și liniște în mijlocul naturii.
  Acordăm acestei proprietăți un 10 bine meritat și o promisiune de a revenii cât mai curând.

  Der liebevoll gestaltete Aussenbereich.
  Der geschmacklich herausragende Obst und Jogurtimbiss im Kühlschrank und das wir am Abreisetag länger in der Unterkunft bleiben durften. Die Inneneinrichtung ist sehr geschmackvoll, das Bett ist bequem.
  
  What could be improved: Leider war der Blick aufs Meer nur im Stehen möglich, dass war aus den Bildern wenig ersichtlich. Ein größerer Topf mit Deckel sowie Matratzenschoner aus hygienischen Gründen würden den Komfort verbessern.
