I mean, sure, it’s got that five-star polish, but there’s something genuinely thoughtful about how they’ve designed this place. The adults-only policy isn’t just a marketing gimmick either – it actually creates this wonderfully relaxed atmosphere where you can hear conversations instead of constant splashing and kids running around.

The location on Avenida de Bruselas is honestly perfect, though you might miss the entrance if you’re not paying attention (it’s more understated than flashy). What I love is that you’re right in Adeje but tucked away enough that you’re not dealing with the constant tourist chaos of the main strips. The mirador part of the name really delivers – those ocean views from the upper floors are something else, especially during sunset when the light hits the water just right. And here’s a local tip: if you’re planning to explore beyond the hotel, you’re actually perfectly positioned. The beach at Playa de Fañabé is an easy walk, and if you want to venture to Los Cristianos or even up to Teide, you’re not stuck in some remote corner of the island.

What really sets this place apart, though, is how they’ve nailed the details that matter. The service feels personal without being intrusive – staff actually remember your name and preferences, which is rarer than you’d think even at this level. The rooms are spacious (thank god, because so many places scrimp on space), and the beds are actually comfortable, not just expensive-looking. I particularly appreciated that they’ve thought about practical stuff too – plenty of outlets, good water pressure, and air conditioning that doesn’t sound like a jet engine. The pool area gets busy mid-afternoon, but honestly, mornings and evenings are absolutely perfect for lounging. Food-wise, they’ve got this approach where it’s clearly upscale but not pretentious – you can get a proper meal without feeling like you need to dress up for dinner every night. The breakfast spread is impressive, and they actually have decent coffee, which isn’t a given at resort hotels. One small thing that bugged me initially was the WiFi in some corners of the property, but it’s solid in the rooms and main areas where you actually need it. With a 9.6 rating, you’re going into this with high expectations, and honestly, it delivers on most of them. This is the kind of place that makes you want to extend your stay – not because you feel obligated to get your money’s worth, but because you genuinely don’t want to leave.

  What a wonderful place! We loved every minute of our stay. From the warm welcome by the staff, to the beautiful room, grounds and (heated!) pool, to the location overlooking the beach, JOIA is a dream. Great breakfast buffet, excellent dinner at El Cenador, lovely spa. This is the ultimate place to relax, enjoy the sun and treat yourself.

  Staff are fleet friendly and helpful. The breakfast and dinner were excellent with a wide choice every day. The pool area and terrace are easily large enough so that guests are not packed in. The suite had a large very comfortable bedroom with a seating area, bathroom, changing room and external balcony.
