But the Iberostar Selection Sábila actually gets what that means – this place has a sophistication that you can feel the moment you walk through those doors. It’s perched right on Avenida Ernesto Sartí in Adeje, which puts you in this sweet spot where you’re close enough to the action in Costa Adeje but far enough from the chaos that families with screaming kids tend to create around Playa de las Américas.

The thing that struck me first was how quiet it is, you know? I mean, you’re still hearing the ocean – the property sits practically on top of Playa de la Enramada – but there’s this calm that settles over everything. The staff actually remembers your name after day two (which, let’s be honest, doesn’t happen at most places), and the rooms have this modern minimalist thing going on that somehow feels warm instead of sterile. I was worried about the usual resort food situation, but their restaurants surprised me – the Japanese place especially. You can actually taste that they’re using proper ingredients, not just throwing together whatever’s cheapest. The pools are another story entirely… there’s this infinity pool that makes you feel like you’re floating right into the Atlantic, and because it’s adults-only, you’re not dodging pool noodles every five seconds.

What really sold me on this place, though, was the little details that show they’re paying attention. The poolside service doesn’t make you wait twenty minutes for a drink, the WiFi actually works throughout the property (including by the beach – trust me, I tested it), and the spa treatments don’t feel like they’re rushing you through an assembly line. Plus, if you want to venture out, you’re literally a ten-minute walk from some of the best restaurants in Adeje, and the hiking trails up toward Barranco del Infierno are right there if you’re feeling adventurous. I mean, at this level – we’re talking 5-star territory with a 9 rating – you expect excellence, but this place delivers it without making you feel like you’re staying in some stuffy, pretentious bubble. It’s refined without being uptight, relaxing without being boring. Perfect for couples who want to actually enjoy each other’s company without competing with families for space, service, or sanity.

  Booked star prestige which was really amazing excellent value for money- private access to rooftop pool with endless self service bar with beer tap, fresh buffet food/snacks served all day regularly checked & topped up by staff. The views were amazing Location was great, buffet breakfast had superb choices of all sorts. Rooms were really quiet on top floor, fab sunset views. turndown service & super clean, we can’t wait to return. Would most definitely book prestige again.
