Hotel Description
You know what struck me first about Hotel Panoramica Garden? The name actually delivers – and I mean that, because honestly, how many hotels promise panoramic views and then stick you facing a parking lot? But here in La Longuera, this little 3-star gem really does give you those sweeping views across the valley that make you pause with your morning coffee. The location is sort of perfect if you’re trying to avoid the tourist madness of Puerto de la Cruz but still want to be close enough to pop down there when you feel like it. It’s tucked up in the hills of Los Realejos, which most visitors skip right past on their way to the coast – their loss, really.
The hotel itself feels refreshingly unpretentious. I mean, it’s not going to win any design awards, but there’s something genuinely welcoming about the place that you don’t always get at flashier spots. The garden area (hence the name) is actually lovely – they’ve got these local plants that smell incredible in the evening, and you can hear the birds more than the traffic, which is saying something in the Canaries. The rooms are clean and comfortable, nothing fancy but everything works, and the beds are surprisingly good for a 3-star. What I really appreciated was the little balcony in most rooms – perfect for that evening glass of wine while watching the sunset paint the mountains. The staff genuinely seem to care about making your stay pleasant, not just checking boxes, and they’re happy to point you toward local spots that aren’t in the guidebooks.
Here’s the thing about staying up in La Longuera – you’re getting a taste of how locals actually live, away from the resort bubble. There’s a proper Spanish feel to the whole area, with little family-run restaurants within walking distance and actual neighborhood life happening around you. The drive down to the coast takes maybe ten minutes, but you feel like you’re discovering something when you wind back up through the banana plantations to the hotel each evening. Parking is easy (thank god), and the check-in process was refreshingly straightforward. Sure, the WiFi can be a bit spotty, and the breakfast is nothing to write home about, but honestly? Those views from the terrace each morning while you’re planning your day make up for any small shortcomings. It’s one of those places where the 7.5 rating feels exactly right – not perfect, but genuinely pleasant in ways that matter more than thread count or marble bathrooms.

Reviews
Great room. Delicious breakfast. Nice swimming pool. – Adam from United Kingdom – 14 May 2025 (9/10)
Room was spacious, with living room, small kitchen, clean bathroom and big bedroom with comfortable beds. One balcony with entrance from living room and one with access from bedroom. Great!
What could be improved: Everything was great, there is nothing to whine about.Superb – Jurate from United Kingdom – 9 February 2025 (9/10)
The view out of the room was wonderful, I was able to see far away.
It was a really good breakfast.
What could be improved: The elevator was off a few times, so I had to climb up to the 11th floor.Very good – Simas from United Kingdom – 6 February 2025 (8/10)
ALL
What could be improved: NONOld but still valid – Paulius from Lithuania – 24 January 2025 (9/10)
Hotel is located in good area where is not to much noise, alot of parking around in the hotel and around the hotel.
Heated swiming pool was great, there was almost no one in it as most of the guest are older people, they tend not to swim but sit by the side.
Food was quite good, they had alot of pancakes which where not home made but quite good.
What could be improved: A bit dirty, especially the bed sheets, but what can you expect for such cheap price, was good.Good – Aliana from Latvia – 24 December 2024 (7/10)
Very nice, helpful stuff 🙂
Beautiful view from the balcony 🥰
Breakfast was good.
What could be improved: Smell of cigarettes on the whole floor and in the room.
Rooms would like to be renovated 🙂
No sound isolation.A good base at a reasonable price. – Kate from United Kingdom – 13 November 2024 (9/10)
Helpful.staff.
Pleasant breakfast buffet choices.
Kettle, fridge and cooking facility.
What could be improved: Narrow parking spaces in hotel car
Park.Good – Bernadette from United Kingdom – 25 October 2024 (7/10)
Lovely comfy beds, daily maid service. I asked for a mountain view, but it was only on the 2nd floor so the view was partly obscured by apartments next to the hotel. Breakfast was included it was ok you could always find something. The hot breakfast items tasted bland and cheap, I had to heat them up in the microwave. The coffee was awful I tried all varieties in the machine, yuk! Evening meal available for 10 euro each, buffet style, with help yourself red and white wine. The hotel is close to Los realejos village 5 min walk with shops bars and a few restaurants . Also the hotel does a free return bus hourly to Puerto de la Cruz. We used this it was excellent .
What could be improved: The WiFi was terrible terrible terrible….The receptionist said that they couldn't do anything. It kept throwing you off intermittently . Decent signal at the pool and lounge. The lifts are awfully slow at peak times IE breakfast and evening meal times. A bonus of being on the 2nd floor to use stairs. No protective covers on the mattress or pillows …..so I woke up on the stained bare mattress a few times…. Be careful not to take your half drunken jug of wine with you out of the restaurant, a short fat dark haired older waitress acts like the wine police and takes it away from you….Which is a waste as no-one else, wants a used jug of wine!!! I presume they top it up and put it back out. But I'd already poured my leftover glass wine back into the jug and she just put it back out for others to take !!🤢Superb – Linda from Spain – 19 October 2024 (9/10)
A very comfortable room .and having a shuttle bus to Puerto del Cruz
Good – Veronika from Slovakia – 12 October 2024 (7/10)
Cleanliness.
Views if you get a good room.
Pool is good enough for swimming.
Aldi and Lidl are within walking distance (15mins)
Good variety of foods to choose from – every day something different, so it depends on your taste if you like it or not, some days we couldn't stop eating and some days it was hard to choose even a small bite. For dinner they offer cold salads, warm foods, canary specialities, deserts, soup, youghurts, ice cream and wine.
They offer trips by bus.
Small kitchen in the apartment with few utensils and a kettle.
What could be improved: Breakfast didn't offer much vegetables, but a lot of processed meat, ham, bacon, sausages and stuff like that (plus eggs).
Food was average, probably bought in bulk, some didn't have much taste, but some was good.
Wifi was terrible. Not good for anything, not even simple browsing on mobile phone, kept shutting down every few seconds.
Table tennis pals were unusable, destroyed.
Only one universal liquid for washing hands, body and hair. You don't get anything else, no toothpaste.Very good – Ján from Slovakia – 25 September 2024 (8/10)
the room was cleaned every day, overall good value for money, we stayed 5 nights and the meals varied every day.
What could be improved: very limited parking at the hotel, we had to park at nearby busy streets
