Look, I’ll be honest – when I first pulled up to this Home2Book place in Caletillas, I wasn’t expecting much from a 3-star setup. But you know what? Sometimes the best finds are the ones that surprise you, and this stylish apartment absolutely did that. The building sits in this quiet residential pocket of Candelaria that most tourists completely miss, which is actually perfect if you’re tired of fighting crowds every time you want to grab coffee.

The apartment itself has this clean, modern vibe that feels way more expensive than what you’re paying. I mean, the kitchen is properly equipped – not just some sad mini-fridge situation – and the living space has these big windows that let in all this gorgeous natural light. What really got me though was how thoughtfully everything was set up. There’s actual drawer space (revolutionary, I know), decent water pressure in the shower, and the WiFi actually works from every corner of the place. The decor walks that fine line between stylish and comfortable without trying too hard, if that makes sense.

Here’s the thing about Caletillas that most people don’t realize – it’s got this perfect location that gives you the best of both worlds. You’re literally a 10-minute drive from Santa Cruz when you want city energy, but you can also hit these incredible black sand beaches that aren’t packed with tour buses. The local market on Saturday mornings is where you’ll find the best produce, and there’s this little café down the street (I think it’s called Bar Mencey?) where the cortados are legitimately perfect. Parking around here is actually manageable too, which anyone who’s driven around Tenerife will tell you is no small miracle. The 7.8 rating makes total sense – it’s not trying to be some luxury resort, but it nails all the things that actually matter when you’re staying somewhere. The hosts are responsive without being intrusive, the check-in process is smooth, and honestly, the whole experience just feels… easy. Sometimes that’s exactly what you need.

  I like this house,there has everything needed inside, conditioner and all clean in home

  We liked the flat in general,it was spacious, fresh and modern. The a.c. was great. Kitchen and living room were great too. The children loved that the tv included Netflix.
  The flat was very well maintain and very clean. We had a lovely time and at the end the downs weren't that bad after you got used to it.
  
  What could be improved: I did not like the views and the communal patio area as you could heard everything.
  Did not feel very safe having the windows from others so close but we just made sure our
  windows were closed when we went out.
  I kept hitting the lamp shape in the smaller room as it was massive.

  Please take your time to read my review before booking this apartment. The apartment itself is fine. Basic ikea items, an old kitchen with minimalistic items but you can cook a little. Either the owner or the old guest left some snacks and random juice boxes, we used it and left ice cream and spices for the next guest 🙂 An older bathroom (brown 80ies style) where if you go thé the toilet your knees will come really sink. The bedding is washed with an extreme parfum washing. It irritated my face, glad I brought my own pillow and silk pillowcase. There is a small balcony where the apartment claims you can smoke outside. While the neighbors in the appartment hung up a note no smoking or sounds after 22:00. Not only super confusing but the neighbors got made a comment and have a fan installed our way. So if you smoke outside the cold air will blow your way. Creative fix, I understand. But the appartement rules and the location should talk about this. And not direct it to people staying there.
  
  What could be improved: The location is quite bad. Limited parking places, inside a little villages that really hate visitors or holiday guests. Or at least in januari. The bus drivers really took the effort to keep us outside of their bus. Refusing to take us in because of our suitcases. If you can rent a car 🙂 The wifi router kept disconnecting the first few days, troubling since we were working remote. I figured out it works on its side, but good for the property owner to replace. Wifi is good nearby in the kitchen area, but weak in the bedrooms and non existent on the balcony. Just keep this in mind if you need it.
  
  The contact after our stay was really intentionally rude, they claimed we have urinated the bed. No questions asked assumption that is not nice to read coming back from your holiday. I explained it’s self tan and I got sick with a fever. I will always be responsible for my own actions so offered to help if any lasting issues. Heard nothing for a week and now have to pay 70 euro. I paid that is not the issue. More the communication and customer service. I guess you what you pay for.

  What could be improved: Thats the first time I was so unpleasant from a place at booking.
  
  The bathroom smells bad all day long since we entrence the apartment and the bed was very uncomfortable.
  The wifi sometime works and sometimes don't.
  
  We got 1 toilet paper for 2 people for 4 nights and 2 big (very small) towels.
  When we asked for 2 more towels and toilet paper, the hosts said that she can't help us and we should contact booking customer servise !!

  Das Apartment war sehr gemütlich und sauber.Auch die Lage ist gut..
  
  What could be improved: Wir hatten keinen Zugang zu Terrasse. Der Schlüssel der in der Küche lag sperrte nicht.

  De verdad es un sitio acogedor, limpio, cómodo, y un lugar de fácil acceso!!
  
  What could be improved: La señal del Wifi no hubo nunca, y el día domingo al ser personas mayores dejaron las llaves dentro del inmueble, obviamente fue un error del huésped, al final se pudo resolver gracias que la dueña vivía cerca y nos abrió.
  Pero al principio para presentar alguna solución fue muy tedioso, y contestas como que no eran un hotel!! pienso que la prestar servicios turísticos comprenderán que no tienen días ni fechas en el calendario, deben ser mas resolutivos, y si realizan este tipo de trabajo tener presente que hay cosas que pasan 24/7.
