The terrace they mention is legit spectacular, and I’m talking about proper ocean views that stretch all the way to the horizon, not some sliver of blue you have to crane your neck to see.

Tabaiba itself is this quiet coastal area that most tourists completely skip over (which is honestly part of its charm). It’s about 15 minutes north of Santa Cruz, tucked away from the main tourist circuits but still close enough that you’re not stranded if you want to hit the bigger towns. The accommodation sits perfectly positioned to catch those morning sea breezes – and trust me, you’ll appreciate that when the afternoon heat kicks in. What really impressed me was how they’ve managed to maintain that residential feel while still giving you proper hotel amenities. The WiFi actually works everywhere, which sounds basic but you’d be surprised how many places in the Canaries still have dead zones. The setup feels more like staying at a well-appointed friend’s place than a typical hotel room, especially with that terrace space where you can actually spread out and not feel like you’re sitting on top of other guests.

The 9.2 rating makes total sense once you’re there – it’s those little details that add up. Check-in was smooth, parking wasn’t a nightmare (rare for coastal Spain), and the place stays surprisingly quiet even though you’re not completely isolated from civilization. I stayed during shoulder season in October, and mornings on the terrace with coffee were honestly the highlight – you get this perfect combination of ocean sounds and that particular light that hits the water just right. The location works especially well if you’re planning to explore the more authentic parts of Tenerife rather than just hitting the resort areas. You’re close enough to places like La Laguna and the Anaga Mountains for day trips, but you come back to this peaceful spot that feels like a proper retreat. It’s the kind of place where you actually want to spend time at the accommodation rather than just crashing there between activities.

  The accommodation is in a quieter part of the island, it was ideal for us, as we planned trips to the northern green part of the island. The accommodation was clean, we liked the covered terrace very much! Everything was fine with the check-in, and the northern airport was also close, from where we could continue our journey to La Palma.

  What could be improved: We told management that we would like to check in at 21.00 o’clock. We waited for over an hour for the person to hand us the keys.
  We called their office and wasn’t sure what’s going on.
  So the check in process was bad.
  The water pressure was too low especially when you used any other water around the apartment.
