So I’ve stayed at this place – HOLIDAYS BEACH & POOL on Calle Víctor Zurita Soler – probably three times now, and honestly, it’s one of those spots that just gets it right without trying too hard. You know when you walk into a hotel and immediately feel like you can actually relax? That’s this place. The air conditioning hits you the second you step inside (and trust me, you’ll appreciate that after walking around Las Américas in August), and there’s this sort of laid-back vibe that makes you forget you’re technically still in a touristy area.

The location is actually pretty clever – you’re on this quieter side street, so you don’t get the constant buzz of the main drag, but you can literally walk to Playa de las Américas in about five minutes. I mean, you’re close enough to hear the nightlife if you want to, but far enough away that you can sleep without earplugs. The pool area is where this place really shines though – it’s not huge, but it’s got these perfect little corners where you can claim a spot and just disappear for hours. There’s something about the way the sun hits it in the afternoon that makes you want to order another drink and cancel your dinner plans. The staff actually remembers your name after a day or two, which sounds small but makes a huge difference when you’re trying to feel at home somewhere.

What I really love about staying here is that you get that proper Spanish coast experience without the resort bubble feeling. You’ll hear actual Spanish conversations by the pool, the nearby bars serve proper local food (not just tourist pizza), and you can walk to the little supermarket on the corner when you need actual necessities. The rooms are clean and comfortable – nothing fancy, but the beds are good and the shower pressure is surprisingly strong. I’ve noticed they’ve been updating things gradually; my last stay had a nicer bathroom than I remembered from a couple years ago. The 8.3 rating makes sense to me – it’s not trying to be a luxury palace, but it delivers exactly what you want from a solid four-star place. You’ll pay reasonable rates, get reliable service, and actually enjoy hanging around the hotel instead of just using it as a place to crash. Plus, parking is usually available without the drama you get at some of the bigger places along the coast.

  A very spacious apartment with three bedrooms and two bathrooms, a living room and a big balcony (with sliding windows). There is also a kitchenette where we could prepare breakfasts. A washing machine was a big help, too. You can see a bit of the ocean from the balcony. There is a pool outside, so one can swim on hot days. The location is really good – close to restaurants and not far from the beach. If someone needs space, I would recommend this place.
  
  What could be improved: It would be great to have some more tablets for a dishwasher and capsules for a washing machine (we stayed there for two weeks!). There wasn't enough toilet paper for the whole stay; no paper towels or garbage bags in the kitchen. It would be nice to have some instructions for kitchen equipment (a microwave was not intuitive at all:) Some windows on the balcony couldn't be opened (sth was broken), and some of the blinds were torn and couldn't be used either. Generally, it would be nice if someone checked all the broken things (windows, blinds, lamps, a remote control, sockets) and fixed them.

  This is a fabulous apartment.It has 3 fine big bedrooms one ensuite. We travelled with a 12 and 14 year old and they really enjoyed the space.The kitchen has everything you could possibly need with an abundance of every cup plate glass you could possibly need.The pool is right outside the door we were the main users of it.We had no problem with sun loungers plenty there.We had a very late arrival 2am to be exact and was worried no one would meet us but Andres who we had messaged at the airport was there to meet us as our taxi landed and explained everything to us he was lovely.The location was fantastic right beside all the bars shops and restaurants.The beach was a less than 10 minute wal.Overall this is a fantastic apartment and would definitely stay again.Thank you

  Good location near the beach, lots of space, big balcony, good showers, great pool.
  
  What could be improved: At agreed check in time there was no one there and no one answered the phone or messages. Person arrived 50 minutes later. The appartment had 4 rooms and all the beds were so so uncomfortable, we tried all 4 options and the living room sofa was the best of all bad options. The neighbourhood itself is quite noisy, not possible to sleep with open windows because of a karaoke bar nearby.

  – Great location with lots of restaurants, bars and beaches near by.
  – The property is located away from the street so it was really quiet during the night even though there is a bar just down the street.
  – Spacious rooms and nice living room/kitchen area.
  – Closed terrace/balcony with enough seats and small tables for 4 people.
  – Easy contact with people managing the property through Whatsapp.
  
  What could be improved: – The beds were not made when we arrived. It seemed like the cleaning was not finished. However this issue was quickly addressed and resolved by the person who met us at the property.
  – There were no toilet paper, soap, washing liquid etc when we arrived. We had to ask for all the things to be provided.
  – No additional bin bags or toilet paper.
  – There was a broken lamp at the table on the terrace which gave me an electric shock when I tried to switch it on. It was too dark to see that the cable was broken and the switch was missing.
  – The place was not very clean.
