Hotel Description

You know what struck me first about Green Garden Eco Resort & Villas? The name actually makes sense – there’s genuinely green everywhere, and I mean thoughtfully planted gardens, not just a few palm trees slapped around some concrete. It’s tucked away on Calle Landa, which honestly I’d never heard of before booking, but it turns out to be this quiet little street that somehow manages to feel worlds away from the main Playa de las Americas chaos while still being walkable to everything. The Golf Las Americas is literally right there (you can see golfers from some of the villa terraces), and if you’re into that sort of thing, well, you’ve basically hit the jackpot.

What really gets me is how they’ve managed to nail the eco thing without making you feel like you’re roughing it. I mean, this is still a 4-star place with proper amenities, but there’s solar panels everywhere, they’ve got this rainwater collection system that the staff actually seems excited to tell you about, and the whole property just feels… intentional, I guess? The villas themselves are spacious in that Spanish way where you wonder why we build everything so cramped back home, and each one has its own little outdoor space that feels private even when your neighbors are doing their morning yoga routine ten feet away. The kitchenettes are properly equipped too – not just a mini-fridge and a prayer – so you can actually cook with the amazing produce from the Saturday market in town.

Honestly, the 9-star rating doesn’t surprise me at all. Check-in was smooth (they had cold towels waiting, which after traveling all day was basically heaven), and the staff has that rare combination of being helpful without hovering. The pool area gets busy around 2 PM when families settle in for the afternoon, but early morning and evening it’s perfect for actual swimming instead of just floating around other people’s conversations. One small thing though – parking can be a bit tight if you’ve rented one of those massive SUVs, but there’s always space if you’re willing to walk an extra minute or two. The location really is the sweet spot for exploring this part of Tenerife: close enough to the beaches and restaurants when you want action, but far enough up the hill that you’re not hearing drunk tourists singing at 3 AM. Plus, if you’re planning to do any hiking in Teide National Park, you’re perfectly positioned without having to trek across the entire island every morning.

  Pretty much everything was perfect for a family with relatively young children (9 and 12). The resort had everything we needed while not being too big and busy, it had very much a family friendly and cosy feel to the place and the staff were extremely friendly and attentive. We loved the themed dinner buffets, the swimming pool and the apartment itself. The evening entertainment was great for the whole family. Also in a perfect location surrounded by a golf course, so that it wasn't noisy at night while still being within walking distance from the beach and shops/bars.

  Pros:
  – clean, silent, not too large and not crowded
  – always available parking (sometimes no free spots on street, however you can use hotel private parking for free).
  – family villas are awesome – two rooms, kitchen, nice backyard. A lot of toys in the room to keep your kids occupied
