Golf del Sur Parque Albatros 417 Overview
First Impressions
When I first pulled up to Golf del Sur Parque Albatros 417, honestly, I wasn’t expecting much from what looked like a typical apartment complex. But you know what? Sometimes the best places are the ones that surprise you. This four-star property sits right in the heart of Golf del Sur, and I quickly realized why couples are rating the location so highly — it’s got that perfect balance of being close to everything without feeling crowded or touristy.
Location & Neighborhood
The thing about San Miguel de Abona is that most people just pass through on their way to the airport, but Golf del Sur is actually this hidden gem of a resort area. You’re literally walking distance from some decent golf courses (hence the name), and the marina is just a short stroll away. I mean, you can grab breakfast and be on a boat within twenty minutes if that’s your thing. The parking situation is refreshingly stress-free too — they’ve got free spots right on site, which honestly saved me a headache since I’d rented a car to explore the island.
The Apartment Experience
What you’re getting here is essentially a well-appointed apartment rather than a traditional hotel room, and that makes all the difference for longer stays. The kitchen setup is actually functional — not just some tiny corner with a mini-fridge, but proper counter space and appliances you’d actually want to use. I ended up cooking breakfast most mornings because, well, why not? The living area flows nicely into everything else, and there’s enough space that you don’t feel like you’re living on top of each other if you’re traveling as a couple.
Amenities & Comfort
The property keeps things simple but does them well. There’s a decent pool area where you can actually find a quiet spot to read (something that’s surprisingly rare in Tenerife), and the whole complex has this laid-back residential feel that I really appreciated. The WiFi works properly, the air conditioning doesn’t sound like a jet engine, and honestly, those are the kinds of details that matter when you’re trying to relax. They’ve also got a restaurant on-site, though I’d recommend exploring some of the local spots in the marina area — there’s this little seafood place that the locals actually go to.
Why Guests Love It
Look, this isn’t going to be the flashiest place you’ll ever stay, but it gets the fundamentals right in a way that a lot of fancier hotels miss. The location really is excellent — you’re close enough to the airport that you’re not stressed about flights, but far enough away that you don’t hear planes constantly. Plus, having that apartment-style setup means you can actually settle in and feel like you’re living somewhere rather than just passing through. For couples especially, there’s something nice about having your own little space with a proper kitchen and living area, especially if you’re doing a longer trip around the Canary Islands.
Tenerife hotels keep guests close to whale-watching marinas, guachinche taverns, and starry cable car rides up Teide.

Very nice apartment to stay for a holiday with family or friends. What does the great job is a huge terrace, where you can stay in shadow or at the sun. Definitely reccomended.

Fantastic outside area of apartment
Iain from United Kingdom (9/10)
Was very easy to communicate with the property before arrival. The apartment was just as described and could not fault it as was every thing we expected. Only thing I would say is it could do with a bit upgrade. We would definitely go back to this apartment.

Holidays for 6 ppl, in-laws + two kids + us.
Arrival:
Our flight was 5 hrs late. Very worried, but no trouble with the keys. A nice lady (Ildikó), swung by when we signalled that we've left the car rental and are headed to the apartment.
Apartment:
Nice, modern, quite nicely finished although some of the furniture shows signs of wear. Kitchen is equipped and we alternated between cooking and going out. Space is ok for 4 adults + 2 kids, but would be a stretch for 6 adults. Kids slept on a couch in the living room. Wi-fi is ok for browsing and streaming services. No idea about TV channels, we used our Chromecast with the TV (we brought the Chromecast, not available on site!). Beside the terrace there is a balcony overlooking the pool/garden/restaurant area. Not much space in the apartment to eat, but the terrace fixes that.
Terrace:
I'm signalling out the terrace because it deserves it. It's a beast. Huge. We only slept in the apartment, we lived on the terrace when not travelling/bathing.
The view:
From the balcony there are very nice views inside the complex – pool, restaurant, garden. From the terrace you can see the ocean and the marina in the distance, some of the view is blocked by nearby hotels.
The complex:
There are a couple entrances to the housing complex. We mostly used the one from the ocean side. You need FOBs to get in. We were provided two FOBs and keys. FOBs are also needed to get to the pool. Watch out for pool closing hours. There is a reception in the complex which can help with printing out the tickets (Wizzair BS). There is a lift you can use to get to the 3rd floor.
The area:
Lots of small restaurants in the area, especially along the path beside the ocean. Couple of shops. 3.5 km away you have Aldi, Lidl and Mercadona. A rented car is highly advised to fully use this location. It's close to the airport, but still a couple of kilometres.
