You know what struck me first about Globales Tamaimo Tropical? It’s tucked away in this quiet pocket of Puerto de Santiago that most tourists completely miss. I mean, you’re literally on La Hondura street, which sounds fancy but is actually just this peaceful residential area where you can actually hear the ocean instead of traffic. The hotel sits there like it’s been part of the landscape forever – sort of unassuming from the outside, but honestly, that’s exactly what makes it work.

The whole place has this laid-back Canarian vibe that you don’t get at those massive resort complexes further up the coast. I stayed here during shoulder season (which, let’s be real, is the best time to visit Tenerife anyway), and the staff genuinely seemed to know every guest by name within a day or two. The rooms are clean and comfortable – nothing fancy, but they’ve got that tropical styling that actually feels authentic rather than theme-park fake. What I really appreciated was how quiet it gets at night. You’re close enough to the action in Puerto de Santiago that you can walk to decent restaurants, but far enough from the main strip that you’re not dealing with late-night party noise.

Here’s the thing about this location that booking sites won’t tell you – you’re perfectly positioned for exploring the western coast without the tourist crowds. Los Gigantes cliffs are basically next door, and I’m talking about a genuine five-minute drive, not some “conveniently located” marketing nonsense. The hotel staff actually gave me the local’s route to the best viewpoint, which winds through these tiny villages where you’ll see more goats than people. And parking? Never an issue, unlike some places I’ve stayed where you’re circling the block at midnight looking for a spot. The pool area gets lovely afternoon sun, and there’s something really satisfying about floating there while looking out toward La Palma on clear days. I noticed families tend to dominate the pool scene during Spanish school holidays, but it’s never chaotic – just that pleasant buzz of kids having fun while parents actually relax for once. The breakfast situation is solid too, with local touches like proper Spanish tortilla and fresh fruit that actually tastes like it was grown nearby (because it probably was). Sure, it’s a 3-star place, so don’t expect marble bathrooms or turndown service, but sometimes that’s exactly what you want – genuine hospitality without the pretense.

  Big comfortable rooms with balcony, everyday cleaning was good. The hotel has its own tennis cort and several swimming pools. The inner territory of the hotel is quite comfortable, but a little bit noisy. The hotel is suitable for those who like to relax in the big companies.
  
  What could be improved: The hotel has an option "all inclusive", but we took only breakfast and did not like it. A lot of different food, but it was not tasty. The personal on the reception is not very friendly.

  Me and my friend stayed in the hotel for 5 days(all inclusive). The hotel is nice, big pools for adults and for kids. Food was amazing and big choices. Cocktails at the bar were tasty. The atmosphere was funny and enjoyable because of animation team, they doing great job! And what I would like to noticed, it’s great location, close to natural pools and beaches, also very nice nature around.
  
  What could be improved: Rude workers on the reception. No „hello”, no „thank you”, no keeping eye contact and no smile. One lady left the reception to talk with „friends” or whoever, when me and my friend came, so we should waited when they finished their conversation. It’s not professional at all.
