You know what caught me off guard about Finca Los Llanitos? The silence. I mean, you’re technically still in Guía de Isora, but once you turn onto Calle las Higueritas, it’s like the world just… stops. The property sits tucked away from the main drag, and honestly, that’s half the magic right there. No tour buses rumbling past at 7 AM, no street vendors – just this peaceful pocket where you can actually hear the birds in the morning.

The finca itself feels more like staying at a friend’s really well-appointed country house than a typical hotel. The owners clearly know their stuff when it comes to balancing rustic charm with modern comfort. I loved how they kept the traditional Canarian architecture – those thick stone walls are actually genius for keeping things cool during the day – but updated everything where it counts. The Wi-Fi works everywhere (and I mean everywhere, I tested it), the water pressure is solid, and the beds are properly comfortable. Small thing, but the parking situation is refreshingly straightforward too, which anyone who’s driven around Tenerife’s smaller towns will appreciate.

What really sets this place apart is how it connects you to the real Tenerife without isolating you from everything. Guía de Isora isn’t touristy in that overwhelmed way you get in Los Cristianos or Playa de las Américas, but it’s got character. The locals actually live here year-round, you know? You can walk to proper restaurants where Spanish is the main language, and the weekly market on Saturdays is the real deal – not a tourist trap. Plus, and this is key, you’re about fifteen minutes from some of the island’s best beaches on the west coast, but far enough inland that you get those gorgeous mountain views and way better prices. The staff seems genuinely proud of the area too, which makes a difference – they’ll point you toward spots that aren’t in the guidebooks, like this little family-run bodega about ten minutes away that serves the best local wines I had on the entire island. That 9.1 rating makes perfect sense once you’ve been there a few days and realized how thoughtfully everything’s been put together.

  This apartment is located in a quiet place. However, it was rather convenient to get to Los Gigantes, Masca, Teide, or Playa de las Americas. Also, we had the garden in front of the apartment where we could have breakfast or relax. Although we had a kitchen and plenty of kitchen stuff, we weren't very satisfied with the small cooker. But we are glad we could sleep in a super comfy bed!

  We had an amazing stay at Finca Los Llanitos! The peaceful surroundings and birds singing in the morning created a perfect getaway. The house was very clean, well-equipped and even bigger than we expected (beach towels provided). We had a great experience with easy check-in and check-out and excellent contact with María Luz. The private outdoor area with a grill and an outdoor shower was fantastic. Highly recommend it for a relaxing and comfortable stay!

  This place is amazing! It has all the amenities you need, which truly makes you feel like home.
  The view is stunning, and being in the mountains gives you a sense of complete privacy.
  Maria, the host, is fantastic and makes everything easy. I'd give it a perfect 10 out of 10.
  Just a tip: get a car if you stay here because it's in the mountains, and walking to the nearest beach takes about 2 hours.

  We had a fantastic stay here, we loved the peace and quite. The views were stunning and so relaxing. The pool area was extremely clean and tidy, the pool was cold but very enjoyable and the views for there were lovely too. We had a few teething problems but Maria was quick to respond and worked very hard to get the issue solved which she did. Maria is a fantastic host.
  
  What could be improved: Didn't have an oven or microwave but we managed perfectly fine.

  It was an amazing experience: this place is close to many beaches in the south but in a very quiet zone at the same time. We had an amazing view during breakfast and during the night we could see the moon. It's a well decorated house (candles, lights, plants etc.) with all the amenities you need: we could do BBQ, cook, do laundry. There was a beach umbrella available and even a scale 😁 we had a parking space partially under threes. We were very happy there and didn't want to leave and would definitely come back!
  
  What could be improved: It's a stone house so it gets hot during the day and releases the heat at night, so sometimes it is pretty hot to sleep. Also there are no mosquito nets. WiFi wasn't so good so it wouldn't work for remote working
