You know what struck me first about Finca La Rosa de Los Vientos? The name alone tells you everything – “farm of the rose of the winds” – and honestly, it delivers on that poetic promise. Tucked away on Calle Reykjavik (yeah, I know, Icelandic street name in the Canary Islands, but that’s Adeje for you), this place feels like someone’s beautifully kept secret that somehow managed to snag a 9.6 rating without losing its soul.

The thing is, most people think of this part of Tenerife as just another resort area, but this finca sits in one of those pockets where you actually feel the island’s character. I mean, you’re still close enough to the coast that you can smell the salt air when the wind shifts, but far enough inland that you wake up to actual bird songs instead of pool parties. The owners – and you can tell there are real owners here, not some corporate management company – have kept the traditional Canarian architecture intact while sneaking in modern comforts that actually work. The Wi-Fi doesn’t cut out every ten minutes, the hot water comes instantly, and the beds are proper firm (not that too-soft resort nonsense that leaves you feeling like you slept in quicksand).

What really gets me is how they’ve handled the grounds. There’s this rambling garden that feels almost accidental, like it just happened over decades rather than being designed by some landscape architect. You’ll find yourself wandering these little stone paths between actual fruit trees – not decorative ones, mind you, but trees that drop real oranges and lemons. The scent in the evening is incredible, especially when that Atlantic breeze kicks up. And here’s something nobody mentions in other reviews: the acoustics are perfect. Somehow, despite being relatively close to the main roads that connect to Los Cristianos and Playa de las Américas, it’s genuinely quiet. I think it’s the way the building sits in this little valley, but whatever the reason, you can actually hear yourself think.

The staff runs the place like they live there too – which, honestly, I think some of them do. They know exactly which local restaurants to recommend (skip the tourist traps down by the water, by the way), and they’ll arrange transfers that don’t cost a fortune. Check-in was refreshingly straightforward, none of that resort rigmarole with presentations about timeshares or mandatory orientations. Just keys, a genuine smile, and directions to the nearest decent coffee – which, fair warning, isn’t right next door, but the walk through the neighborhood is half the charm anyway. If you’re looking for a place where you can decompress without feeling like you’re staying in someone’s idea of paradise rather than an actual place, this is it.

  Simplemente excepcional. Las fotos no hacen justicia de lo que realmente ofrece esta villa. Impecable en todos los aspectos. Instalaciones, decoración, limpieza, accesibilidad, vistas…etc. Es una casa para disfrutar que cuenta con todas las comodidades posibles. Exterior fantástico: zona piscina, zona relax, zona billar, terrazas exteriores… una maravilla. Y el interior con una decoración cuidada al máximo con mobiliario de calidad, baños, cocina… y una decoración que enamora. Totalmente recomendable.

  Sehr weitläufiges Grundstück und Haus mit ausreichend Fläche und Zimmern für viele Leute. Freizeitgestaltung mit Sauna, Schwimmen, Billard oder Fitness innerhalb des Grundstücks möglich. Wir haben uns super wohl gefühlt, auch da Marina und das Team sich exzellent um uns gekümmert haben.
