Here’s what I love about Los Realejos — you’re actually positioned perfectly between the tourist madness and real Tenerife life. The hotel sits in this sweet spot where you can walk to local bars and restaurants that locals frequent, but you’re still close enough to the coast when you want those beach days. What really sold me was the free parking right on site — I mean, try finding that anywhere else on the island without paying through the nose. Couples especially seem to get this location (the staff mentioned they consistently rate it over 9 out of 10), and I can see why.

The Room Experience

My room had this lovely terrace that looked out over the surrounding hills — nothing fancy, but genuinely peaceful. The furnishings feel thoughtfully chosen rather than just ordered from some hotel catalog, and there’s enough space to actually unpack and settle in for a few days. The bathroom was modern and well-maintained, though honestly, I spent most of my time on that terrace with a coffee in the mornings. You know what impressed me most? The attention to small details — proper reading lights, enough outlets, and blackout curtains that actually work.

The breakfast situation is solid — not some elaborate buffet, but fresh local ingredients prepared well. I actually ended up eating at the hotel’s restaurant a couple of evenings because the menu changes based on what’s seasonal and available locally. The staff genuinely knows their wine pairings too, which surprised me for a place this size. During the day, there’s this lovely courtyard area (the “patio” in the name makes perfect sense once you see it) where you can just sit and read or plan your next adventure without feeling like you’re in some resort bubble.

  The estate is really really beautiful. Surrounded by Banana trees and beautiful plants it was one of the best experience we've ever had. They have their own pool and jacuzzi, small farm (chickens – were super cute) and many many beautiful flowers. Last but not leat the AMAZING BREAKFAST that is served every day (if you have it included in the price) anytime you want, directly to your table inside or outside of your apartment, surrounded by beautiful nature. 100% reccoment!!!

  We had a fantastic stay at Finca el Patio. We were travelling with a toddler and found it to be the perfect combination of hotel and self catering accommodation. A delicious breakfast was provided every morning and the lovely staff cleaned our apartment every other day (clean towels / sheets refresh etc). For other meals we either ate out or cooked ourselves. We found the cooking facilities to be perfectly good – a two ring hob, plenty of pots and pans / knives etc and a good sized fridge. Kettle and toaster provided. Comfy cot and high chair were also provided which made life very easy. Communication with the host, Carmen, was brilliant: she’s extremely responsive via WhatsApp and was very helpful with restaurant recommendations, booking taxis to the airport etc. And all in a really beautiful setting.
