You know what struck me first about Fairways Club Terrace? It’s tucked away in this quiet residential stretch of San Miguel de Abona where you actually hear birds in the morning instead of traffic. I mean, most people zip right through this area on their way to Los Cristianos or Playa de las Américas, but honestly – they’re missing out on one of those rare finds that feels like a local secret.

The terrace apartments here are surprisingly spacious, and I’m talking about proper room to spread out, not those cramped hotel boxes where you’re bumping into furniture. What really gets me is how they’ve managed to capture these incredible views of the golf course and mountains without feeling like you’re staying in some sterile resort bubble. The whole María Ángeles Ascanio Cullen area has this authentic Canarian neighborhood vibe – you’ll see locals walking their dogs in the evenings, and there’s this little bakery about a five-minute walk down the street that does these amazing pastries (though good luck finding it if you don’t speak a bit of Spanish). The pool area is where you really understand why this place scores so highly with guests. It’s not huge, but it’s beautifully maintained and never feels crowded – even during peak season in February and March when half of Northern Europe seems to descend on Tenerife. The staff here actually remember your name after a couple days, which sounds small but makes such a difference when you’re trying to unwind.

Here’s the thing about staying in San Miguel de Abona – you’re about fifteen minutes from the airport, which is brilliant for those early morning flights, but you’re also perfectly positioned to explore the south without dealing with the tourist chaos. The TF-1 motorway access is literally three minutes away, so day trips to Teide National Park or the black sand beaches up north are totally doable. Parking is never an issue here either, unlike some places closer to the coast where you’re circling for twenty minutes looking for a spot. The only minor downside? You’ll definitely want a rental car since public transport in this area is pretty limited – but honestly, given how affordable car rentals are in Tenerife and how much freedom it gives you, I’d recommend that anyway. What really sets this place apart is that perfect balance between being peaceful enough to actually relax but connected enough that you’re not stuck in the middle of nowhere. It’s the kind of place where you end up extending your stay because you realize you’ve found something special.

  Appartement très sympa bien décoré parfait au niveau des équipements à disposition, vin d’accueil par notre hôte Pino très sympa (location de particulier) la résidence bien située à deux pas des golfs piscine privée aux résidents avec bar pas très grande mais suffisante nous avons passé un agréable séjour à refaire

  Locatie is super. barretjes en restaurants genoeg in de buurt. 5 minuten lopen naar het strand. De eigenares ontvangt je hartelijk om je de sleutel te overhandigen. het appartement is van alle gemakken voorzien. Er is ook wifi en bij aankomst staat er een lekkere fles wijn voor je klaar. De omgeving is prachtig. We gaan hier zeker nog een keer terug komen
