You know what struck me first about ESTUDIO Vistas al Océano y Playa? The name actually delivers – and that’s rarer than you’d think. I mean, plenty of places promise ocean views and then you’re squinting through palm fronds to catch a glimpse of blue, but this little studio right on Paseo las Americas gives you the real deal. The moment you step inside, those floor-to-ceiling windows frame the Atlantic like a living painting, and honestly, I found myself just standing there for a good five minutes taking it all in.

The location is what really makes this place special though. Most tourists stick to the southern beaches, but Icod de los Vinos – well, it’s got this authentic Canarian vibe that feels worlds away from the resort crowds. You’re literally steps from Playa de San Marcos, which is this gorgeous black sand beach that locals actually use (I watched families setting up for Sunday picnics while I had my morning coffee). The studio itself is compact but thoughtfully designed – everything you need is there, and the kitchenette is actually functional, not just for show. The owner clearly gets that travelers want to grab fresh fish from the market and cook it themselves sometimes.

What I didn’t expect was how quiet it gets at night. Paseo las Americas sounds like it might be busy, but it’s more of a peaceful walkway than a bustling street. The only sounds are waves hitting the rocks below and the occasional dog barking in the distance. Check-in was refreshingly straightforward too – none of that endless paperwork dance you get at bigger hotels. The host knows the area inside and out, gave me tips about the best time to visit the famous thousand-year-old dragon tree (early morning, before the tour buses arrive), and pointed me toward this tiny family restaurant that serves the best papas arrugadas I’ve ever had. Sure, it’s a 3-star place, so don’t expect marble bathrooms or room service, but the 9.3 rating makes complete sense when you experience what it actually offers. It’s that rare spot where the price, location, and genuine local character align perfectly – you’re not paying for fancy amenities you won’t use, you’re investing in an authentic slice of Tenerife that most visitors never discover.

  The apartment is located in quiet location, it's spacios with a fantastic view. The kitchen is well equipped and little things like free coffee, tea and bottle of vine were very nice surprise. There is also no problem with the parking on the street. Little futher away is also a spacious parking in case you come in busy season.
  
  What could be improved: The bed is really small for two, so you need to get really closer during the sleep 🙂

  The view… It's breathtaking 😍
  Waking up and falling asleep with the ocean literally outside your bed is an unforgettable experience!
  The place is so peaceful and quiet… It feels like you're the only one there miles away.
  The apartment has everything you need and a little extra – water, coffee, wine, spices.
  Josefa is a helpful and kind lady, she gave us information about the landmarks in the area and all of them were worth visiting.
  Mind that it'll be a bit challenging to stay there without a car, though there's a bus stop nearby.
  There's a small beach 7 minutes away.
  The pool is closed.

  The hostess Josefina was very flexible and let us check in past midnight coming to meet us at the apartment and let us stay in the apartment past the check-out time on the day of departure. The apartment, be it small, was very cozy and had everything one would need. There was a little welcome basket with water, biscuits and wine waiting for us which is always a nice touch. Josefina was very responsive and eager to help with anything we needed so thank you for that.

  Oh where to start? Literally everything was fantastic! The location across from the bus stop made it easy to get around. The ocean views were sublime. The apartment had everything one could possibly need. My stay was blissful, peaceful and just delightful.

  The apartment was very cute, clean, equipped with everything you can imagine. The view from the terrace is amazing, especially during the sunsets. We enjoyed every single moment and the owner of the place, Josefa, and her husband are amazing hosts. You must visit Garachico, cute village only 4 km far from San Marcos, where the hosts also run a mexican fast food restaurant right across the ocean. The taste of real mexican cuisine right in front of the ocean view was an amazing experience for us and we went there a couple of times. All in all, we recommend it from the bottom of our heart!

  Grazioso monolocale attrezzato di tutto, dal ferro da stiro all’ombrellone. Ideale anche per cucinare qualcosa e mangiare sul balconcino vista oceano. Posizione comoda per visitare il nord dell’isola. Se non volete noleggiare la macchina c’è la fermata dell’autobus a due passi dall’appartamento. Siamo stati molto bene. Josefa sempre disponibile a rispondere ad ogni nostra domanda. Grazie di tutto 🙏

  Квартира дуже чиста з неймовірним видом і гартни доступом до мережі Інтернет. Парковка не завжди була доступною прямо поруч з помешканням, але дуже близько можна було припаркувати автомобіль і це велечезний плюс (оскільеи на Тенеріфе з парковками біда)
