Hotel Description

You know what struck me first about Estudio-SZL? The location actually makes sense for someone who wants to experience Puerto de la Cruz without staying in one of those massive resort complexes. It’s right on Avenida Venezuela, which honestly sounds more impressive than it is – it’s just a pleasant street that gets you to the real action without dumping you right in the middle of tourist chaos.

The studio setup works really well here, and I mean that in a practical way, not just because it sounds trendy. These aren’t huge spaces, but they’re thoughtfully laid out with little kitchenettes that actually function (unlike some places where you get a mini-fridge and call it a kitchen). The 4-star rating feels about right – it’s definitely comfortable and well-maintained, though you’re not getting marble bathrooms or concierge service. What you do get is a place that feels more like a temporary apartment than a hotel room, which is perfect if you’re planning to explore the area rather than just lounging around your accommodation.

The real advantage here is how it positions you in Puerto de la Cruz. You’re close enough to walk to the black sand beaches – and trust me, those volcanic beaches are something else entirely, especially if you’ve never experienced them before. The botanical gardens are practically around the corner, which is clutch because they’re spectacular in the early morning before the tour groups arrive. Plus, you can actually get to the local markets and restaurants without dealing with the more touristy waterfront strip every single time you want to eat. The rating of 7.6 seems fair – it’s solidly good without being extraordinary, but sometimes that’s exactly what you need when you’re using your hotel as a base camp rather than a destination.

I will say the check-in process is pretty straightforward, and the staff generally knows enough English to help with basic questions about the area. Parking can be a bit of a puzzle in this part of town, but it’s manageable if you’re not driving some massive rental car. The noise level is reasonable too – you’re on a real street where locals actually live and work, so there’s some activity, but it’s not like staying next to a nightclub or major highway. Actually, the neighborhood sounds – you know, people going about their daily routines – kind of add to the authentic feel of staying here rather than in some isolated tourist bubble.

  Very nice cute small studio with all you need for short stay over the weekend or trip around islands. Great location in the center part downtown close to beach, boardwalk, pools and shops, restaurants. Enjoyed very much, thanks.

  Good location, not far from the promenade, big supermarket is just around the corner, also there are a couple of tour-organisers.
  Good facilities including everything: coffee maker, kettle, toaster, microwave, even washing machine.

  Pros:
  – Accommodation has a lovely terrace for meals, warm afternoon sun, quiet for sleeping
  – Small space well designed for one/two people, spotlessly clean, comfy bed, thoughtfully and well-supplied with all bedding/towels, (even beach towels), cookware, and soap & some condiments to get you started….clothes washer too!
  – Beach, grocery store, all minutes walk away
  Host is very responsive and kind…saved us when we had to return for extra night due to flight issues!

  Das Appartment war sehr gut ausgestattet, es hat an nichts gefehlt. Die Lage war perfekt zu den Stränden, zum Supermarkt und ins Zentrum.

  Modernes Apartment in guter zentraler Lage, moderne saubere Möbel, DolceGusto Kapsel-Kaffeemaschine, sehr gute Küchenausstattung, Waschmaschine
  
  What could be improved: Dusche war kaputt, Wassertemperatur liess sich nicht ändern, war zwar noch ok, aber recht heiss. Auch WC-Spüliung hat irgendwannmal nicht funktioniert, ständig Wasser geflossen, und trotz der Absprache mit Verwalterin nicht repariert während unseres Aufenthaltes (lag eventuell an Weihnachtszeit)
