Look, I’ll be honest – when I first saw the address on Calle del Doctor Ingram, I wasn’t sure what to expect. It’s one of those narrow streets that winds through Puerto de la Cruz’s old town, and you know how these converted apartments can be hit or miss. But this little studio actually surprised me in the best way possible.

The thing that got me right away was the location – you’re literally a two-minute walk from Plaza del Charco, which is honestly the heart of everything here. I mean, you can hear the buzz from the plaza cafés in the evening, but it’s not that obnoxious kind of loud that keeps you up. More like a gentle hum that reminds you you’re right in the middle of things. The studio itself is compact but thoughtfully done – whoever set this up actually gets what travelers need. There’s proper counter space in the kitchenette (not just some sad mini-fridge situation), and the bed is comfortable enough that I didn’t wake up feeling like I’d been wrestling with rocks all night. The bathroom’s small but functional, and here’s something I appreciated – decent water pressure, which you can’t always count on in these older buildings.

What really sold me on this place was how it connects you to the real Puerto de la Cruz. Step out the door and you’re immediately walking the same cobblestone streets locals use to get to work, past the little bakery that opens ridiculously early and smells like heaven. The tourist beach at Playa Jardín is maybe a ten-minute walk, but honestly, I found myself spending more time just wandering through the maze of streets around the studio. You’ll stumble onto these tiny plazas where old guys play dominoes in the afternoon, or find yourself at the edge of the dramatic black volcanic coastline before you even realize you’ve walked that far. The area gets busy during the day – Puerto de la Cruz isn’t exactly a hidden gem anymore – but evenings have this lovely wind-down energy as people migrate toward the waterfront restaurants. One heads up though: parking can be tricky if you’re driving. These streets weren’t designed for cars, and finding a spot sometimes feels like solving a puzzle. But that’s part of the charm, I suppose – this is a place made for walking, for getting a little lost, for discovering that perfect café tucked away on some side street you’d never find otherwise.

  The apartment was very clean, little gifts were waiting for us, also coffee, tea, everything that you can possibly need is there, from bathroom to kitchen. Near the beach, restaurants, supermarket. Also, the host is very very friendly, helping us with everything and letting us know about check out, that we don’t have to rush, since there was no check in on that day, and that’s very nice 😊

  The apartment was really lovely, clean & beautifully furnished, bed very comfortable, big smart TV with Netflix availability. It has a nice romantic balcony, loved to take my breakfast and dinner outside.
  The pool area upstairs is neat, good to relax there after an afternoon stroll in the city.
