You know what surprised me about Estudio Chaparral Cristina? It’s tucked away on Avenida Jose Antonio Tavio in this quiet corner of Costa del Silencio that most tourists never find – and honestly, that’s exactly why I ended up loving it. The name makes it sound way fancier than it actually is, but don’t let that fool you. This is a solid 3-star spot that punches above its weight, especially if you’re the type who values peace over flashy amenities.

The studios themselves are pretty spacious for southern Tenerife – I mean, you’re not going to confuse it with a luxury resort, but there’s enough room to actually spread out your stuff without feeling like you’re living in a shoebox. What really sold me was stepping out onto the little balcony in the morning with my coffee and realizing just how quiet this part of the coast is. Costa del Silencio literally means “coast of silence,” and they weren’t kidding around when they named it. You can actually hear the waves instead of traffic, which is getting harder to find these days. The kitchenette situation is decent too – nothing fancy, but functional enough if you want to grab groceries from the Mercadona down the road instead of eating out every meal.

Here’s the thing about the location that the booking sites don’t really capture: you’re about a 10-minute walk from the main drag where all the restaurants cluster, but far enough away that you won’t have drunk tourists stumbling past your window at 2 AM. There’s this little coastal path that runs behind the property – locals use it for their evening walks, and it connects to some surprisingly nice rocky beaches if you don’t mind scrambling over a few stones. Parking was never an issue when I was there (even during the busier spring months), and the woman who runs the front desk actually remembers your name after day two, which is refreshing. The 8.3 rating makes sense to me – it’s not going to blow your mind, but it delivers exactly what it promises without any nasty surprises. If you’re looking for a base to explore the quieter side of Tenerife without paying resort prices, this place gets the job done really well.

  It was close to the airport, on the coast, nearest shop, bus stop, restaurants and cafes right around the corner. Nice Town, pretty clean. Liked the fact that there was a pool. Nice and quiet area, even though there are many flats and residents. Also liked balcony with the garden view on the ground floor. Flat was equipped with everything you can only imagine – washing machine with washing liquid, kitchen had fridge, coffee machine, microwave, toaster, also oils for cooking. Towels, even beach towels. All helped.
  
  What could be improved: Two beaches near by were – one very small, the other rocky. But I found fantastic beaches in Los Cristianos, which was 30-40 mins on the bus.

  Die Ferienwohnung befindet sich in einem parkähnlichen Gelände mit Pool. Die technische Ausstattung war okay.
  
  What could be improved: Viele sinnlose Gitter vermitteln den Eindruck einer Gefängnisanlage. Mülltüten, Toilettenpapier und Seife muss man mitbringen. Diese Sachen sind nicht ausreichend vorhanden und werden nicht nachgeliefert. Es gibt keinen Reinigungsservice.
