Look, I’ll be honest – when I first pulled up to Estudio Caridad on Avenida J.M. Galván Bello, I wasn’t expecting much. San Miguel de Abona isn’t exactly the postcard part of Tenerife that everyone talks about, you know? But sometimes the best finds are tucked away in these quieter spots, and this place really surprised me. The building itself has this understated elegance – it’s not trying too hard to impress, but there’s something about the way they’ve maintained it that tells you they actually care about the details.

What really struck me was how the staff seemed to know everyone’s name by the second day. I mean, it’s a smaller property, so that helps, but you get the sense they’re genuinely invested in making sure you’re sorted. The studios themselves are honestly better than half the “luxury” places I’ve stayed at in the south. Everything feels purposeful – like someone actually thought about how you’d live in the space, not just how it would photograph. The kitchenette is properly equipped (rare, trust me), and there’s this lovely little balcony where you can have your morning coffee without feeling like you’re on display for the entire hotel. Parking was never an issue, which if you’ve driven around the tourist areas, you’ll know is basically a miracle.

Here’s what sealed it for me though – the location is actually perfect if you want to experience Tenerife without the crowds but still have easy access to everything. You’re maybe fifteen minutes from the airport (so convenient for those early flights), but you’re also close enough to the coast that you can pop down to places like Playa de Los Cristianos without the whole day becoming about travel time. The neighborhood itself is proper Spanish residential – there’s a little café around the corner where the locals actually go, and honestly, their cortado is better than anything you’ll find in the hotel zones. The 9.2 rating makes complete sense once you’ve been there; it’s one of those places where everything just works without any drama, and in my experience, that’s rarer than you’d think in hospitality.

  The apartment was bright and welcoming with good facilities and modern furnishings.
  Everything was in working order and the apartment was extremely clean.
  Razvan was very helpful and responded immediately if I had a question. He also checked in by phone message during my stay to make sure everything was ok.

  Al nostro arrivo siamo stati subito accolti nonostante l'orario del check in sarebbe dovuto essere un pochino più tardi. Razvan è stato davvero tanto gentile e paziente, per quanto riguarda l'appartamento strepitoso. Davvero tutto molto bello 🤩

  What could be improved: La struttura non é equipaggiata per ospitare 4 persone , non ha un matrimoniale e un divano letto come c’è scritto , ma un divano da cui esce una brandina separata dal divano , quindi la 4 persona dorme sul divano . Non erano presenti cuscino lenzuola e asciugamani per la 4 persona ospite . Quando lo abbiamo fatto presente al signore che gestiva l’appartamento , non ci ha dato alcuna soluzione, anzi ci ha esortato ad andarcene e chiedere un rimborso che come Booking ci ha detto non ci avrebbero mai dato , é stato maleducato e sgarbato nei modi. Non ci tornerò in futuro . E lo sconsiglio a chi é in 4 e a chi si aspetta di essere accolto da persone a modo .
