You know what struck me first about El estudio de Jessica? It’s tucked away on Calle el Coral in La Laguna, and honestly, I almost walked right past it – which is actually perfect because it means you’re not dealing with crowds of tourists constantly streaming by. La Laguna isn’t your typical beach town setup; it’s got this UNESCO World Heritage thing going on with all the colonial architecture, and Jessica’s place sits right in the middle of it all without feeling touristy or stuffy.

The studio itself is… well, it’s exactly what you’d want if you’re the type who gets claustrophobic in those massive hotel complexes. It’s intimate, probably just a handful of rooms, and Jessica (I’m assuming she’s the owner) has this eye for details that actually matter. The 9.3 rating makes sense when you’re there – it’s not trying to be fancy, but everything works properly, which is honestly more than I can say for some four-star places I’ve stayed. The morning light comes in really nicely, and you can hear the sounds of the neighborhood waking up without it being obnoxiously loud. There’s something about staying in a real neighborhood instead of a hotel zone that just feels more… I don’t know, authentic? Plus, you’re walking distance from the university area, so there are actually decent cafés and little bars around that aren’t just tourist traps.

What I really appreciated was how easy it was to get around from here – La Laguna’s got this charm where you can walk most places, but if you want to hit the beaches or check out Santa Cruz, you’re not stuck taking expensive taxis everywhere. The whole historic center is basically your backyard, and in the evenings when the students come out, the area has this nice energy without being rowdy. I mean, it’s a three-star place, so don’t expect room service or a concierge, but honestly? Sometimes that’s exactly what you want. Just a clean, comfortable base where you can actually experience a bit of local life instead of being hermetically sealed in hotel-land.

  The apartment is exactly the same as the pictures. Very clean and indeed you can listen and smell the ocean from your bed.
  It is a very calm location far from the crazy, busy areas.
  Easy to parking.
  I was amazed by this apartment. We are sorry that we could stay just 2 days.
  
  What could be improved: It is not negative, for me it was the big plus of this location, but be aware that this is a small village, so you need car if you want to go buy something or reach other destinations easly.

  The studio is perfect, super nicely decorated with everything you need and a superb view of the ocean and a balcony to relax and enjoy the view. We loved it and it was perfect for our stay, highly recommended and the host was super nice and communication was always on time with all we needed!

  Little apartment facing the sea, ideal if you'd like to relax there as well. It has everything you need and the hosts were super helpful, always available when needed and kind. Modern and recently renovated so also very clean.
  
  What could be improved: The sea in that area is quite rough so you can hear it very loud in the night. Maybe not the best if you are a light sleeper. There is a street light directly in front of the window which makes also a bit harder to fall asleep if you are sensitive to light. Some more thicker curtains would help both to dim the light effect and reduce the sound from the waves. Agree with previous reviews that the place is a little bit expensive for solo travellers. A bit far away from supermarkets etc so make sure you buy your groceries early on the way or go for dinner in some towns nearby.
