You know what caught me off guard about El Dorado Garden View PH04? It’s actually way more charming than the name suggests – I mean, that sounds like some corporate chain hotel code, right? But this little 3-star spot on Avenida Santiago Puig really surprised me. The location is honestly perfect if you want to be close to everything without being right in the thick of the tourist chaos. You’re literally a 10-minute walk from Los Cristianos beach, and there’s this great little mercadillo (local market) that happens twice a week just down the street where you can grab fresh fruit for breakfast – way better than paying hotel prices for an orange, trust me.

The rooms are what I’d call “comfortable without trying too hard.” Mine had this decent-sized balcony that actually lived up to the garden view promise, looking out over some surprisingly lush landscaping and palm trees. The AC works well (crucial in Tenerife summers), and honestly, the beds are more comfortable than you’d expect from a 3-star. I appreciated that they didn’t go overboard with fancy stuff they can’t maintain – just clean, functional spaces with decent WiFi and good water pressure in the shower. The pool area is small but never felt crowded, probably because most guests spend their days at the beach anyway. What I really liked was how quiet it gets at night – you’re far enough from the main strip that you’re not dealing with drunk tourists stumbling around at 3 AM, but close enough that you can walk to dinner without needing a taxi.

The staff definitely makes this place work better than its 7.4 rating might suggest. Reception helped me figure out the bus routes to Santa Cruz (way cheaper than the tourist buses), and they actually know the area well enough to give you real recommendations, not just the obvious tourist traps. Parking can be a bit tight if you’re renting a car – the spaces are European-small, let’s just say that. But really, you don’t need a car staying here. The Titsa bus stop is right around the corner, and you can get to Puerto de la Cruz or even Teide National Park pretty easily. I’d definitely stay here again, especially if you’re the type who wants a clean, comfortable base without paying resort prices. It’s not fancy, but it’s genuine, and sometimes that’s exactly what you need when you’re spending most of your time exploring the island anyway.

  – Posizione molto buona rispetto a spiagge e ai locali. Ci son diverse tipologie di market nelle vicinanze.

  – un’anta dell’armadio non scorreva quindi ci siamo arrangiate nel metter i vestiti nell’altro spazio agibile e un po’ son rimaste in valigia.
  – probabilmente dalla fessurino sotto la porta è entrata una bestiola che si è infilata in bagno, nella doccia, per fortuna, con scopa e paletta, sono riuscita a cacciarla fuori, tuttavia è stato un momento un po’ traumatico, sopratutto per la mia amica che ha la fobia..
