Look, I’ll be honest – when I first pulled up to Villa Pink Princess on Calle Laurisilva, I wasn’t expecting much from the name alone. But this place actually surprised me in the best way possible. It’s tucked into this quiet residential street in Amarilla Golf, and you know what? That’s exactly what makes it work. You’re close enough to hear the occasional golf cart puttering by (the course is literally right there), but far enough from the main tourist chaos that you can actually sleep with the windows open.

The villa itself has this Mediterranean charm that doesn’t feel forced – white walls, terracotta touches, and yeah, some pink accents that somehow don’t make you cringe. What really got me was how thoughtfully everything’s laid out. The rooms are spacious in a way that most Spanish coastal places aren’t, and there’s this lovely terrace area where I ended up spending most mornings with coffee. The staff really knows their stuff too – they pointed me toward this little local spot for dinner that I never would’ve found otherwise, down near the marina. And parking? No stress at all, which honestly is half the battle in Tenerife.

Here’s the thing about staying in San Miguel de Abona that a lot of people don’t realize – you’re perfectly positioned between the airport (maybe 15 minutes) and the southern beaches, but you’re not stuck in one of those generic resort bubbles. I could walk to the golf course for an early round, drive down to Playa de la Tejita for some proper beach time, or head up into the hills when I wanted to escape the heat. The villa’s location actually makes all of this ridiculously easy. Plus, there’s a decent supermarket just a few minutes away – Mercadona, if you know the chain – which saved me from paying resort prices for basics. The whole setup just works, you know? It’s got that 4-star comfort level without feeling stuffy or over-managed. I mean, the rating of 9 out of 10 makes sense when you factor in the value, the location, and the fact that it actually feels like a place rather than just accommodation.
