Look, I’ve stayed at plenty of places in Tenerife South, but Villa Bella Vita actually surprised me – and honestly, that doesn’t happen often anymore. The moment you pull up to Calle Tinguafaya (which, by the way, is this quiet residential street in Chayofa that most tourists never find), you realize you’ve stumbled onto something pretty special. The villa sits there looking almost too good for the price point, with this gorgeous heated pool that – I mean, heated pools aren’t exactly common in rental villas, even the pricey ones.

What really got me was how thoughtfully everything’s set up. The air conditioning actually works properly in every room, which sounds basic but you’d be amazed how many places get this wrong in the Canarian heat. The pool area feels like your own private resort bubble, and since Chayofa is tucked away from the main tourist strips, you’re not dealing with the chaos of Los Cristianos or Playa de las Américas. You can actually hear yourself think here. The villa itself has this lived-in elegance – not that sterile hotel feel, but not shabby either. Everything from the kitchen setup to the bathroom fixtures feels like someone who actually uses the space designed it, you know what I mean?

Here’s the thing about the location that makes it work so well: you’re about a 10-minute drive from the coast, but those 10 minutes buy you so much peace and quiet. Plus, you’re perfectly positioned for exploring the island properly – the road connections are fantastic for day trips to Mount Teide or the western beaches that locals prefer. Parking’s never an issue (huge plus if you’re renting a car, which you should), and there’s a small supermarket walking distance away where you can grab essentials without the tourist markup. The owners clearly know what they’re doing – check-in was smooth, everything was exactly as advertised, and honestly, the whole experience felt more like borrowing a friend’s gorgeous villa than staying at a rental. With a 9.6 rating, I expected it to be good, but this place actually lives up to the hype, which is rare these days.

  Fantastic location, large open plan area downstairs. The pool is small but great for the kids. There's enough outdoor space for lounging about and BBQs.
  
  Great views from the master bedroom.
  
  Huge TV downstairs with Netflix and good WiFi for the kids.
  
  The staff when needed were very helpful and super friendly. My mum quite fancied the pool guy. 😂
  
  There's a small number of restaurants within walking distance and a local shop that sells fresh baguettes and pastries that we used every day.

  We traveled with family, small children and grandparents. The space is large enough for 7-8 people. The villa is well equipped, including the kitchen. The rooms and bathrooms are very nicely decorated. The garden is smaller but sufficient. the villa is outside the center, a car is needed. Parking is available directly at the villa. It is a quiet neighborhood, only two nights there were young men staying closed by who had a party in the garden at night. But the owner of our villa helped us to solve this problem and after that it was ok.
  The climate at the villa is very pleasant, the temperature is lower than down by the beach. In the summer this is definitely an advantage, in the winter I would need a hoody.
  Owners of the villa are very friendly and always ready to help.

  We have got a warm welcome with two bottles of wine and a basket of snacks. The owner has explained everything and gave us useful tips to get started.
  
  Our children aged 2 and 6 really love the heated swimming pool. They are kept busy no matter the temperature. We have found plenty of toys for beach and in the pool. So there is no need to bring or buy your own which saves money and effort. The water is a bit cold on the first day. It takes time to warm up.

  The villa is stunning, beautifully furnished and comfortably equipped, anything you might need, the host thought about it. It's in a great location with beaches 15min away, local restaurants and a shop.

  What a beautiful place to stay. It has everything you need and more. The hosts were so pleasant and helpful. Made it extra special for us, as it was a birthday holiday. Couldn't have asked for more. Thank you for such a lovely stay.
