You know what caught me off guard about Cuarto Teide Apartamento Santo Domingo? The fact that it’s actually on Avenida VIII de Agosto – which honestly sounds way more intimidating than it is. I mean, La Guancha isn’t exactly a household name unless you’re already familiar with Tenerife’s northern coast, but that’s sort of the point. This place sits in one of those perfectly positioned spots where you’re close enough to everything that matters but far enough from the tourist chaos to actually hear yourself think.

The apartment itself feels like someone’s grandmother decided to rent out her best guest space – and I say that in the most endearing way possible. It’s got that lived-in comfort that you just can’t fake, with proper thick walls that keep things quiet (thank god, because Spanish neighborhoods can get lively). The kitchen actually has everything you need, not just the bare minimum that most holiday rentals throw at you. I spent a good chunk of my mornings there with coffee, looking out at the view of Teide when the clouds weren’t being dramatic. The whole setup screams “stay awhile” rather than “crash and dash,” which honestly made me extend my trip by two days.

What really sells this place though is the location – and no, not in that generic “convenient location” way that every listing claims. Walk five minutes and you’re at spots where locals actually eat, not tourist traps with English menus. The plaza gets this perfect evening light that makes you want to sit with a beer and watch the world go by. Parking isn’t a nightmare either, which if you’ve ever driven around Spanish coastal towns, you know is basically a miracle. The whole neighborhood has this rhythm to it – quiet mornings, gentle buzz during siesta, then that lovely Spanish evening energy when everyone emerges around eight. It’s the kind of place where you start recognizing faces at the local café by day three, and honestly, that’s when you know you’ve found something special rather than just somewhere to sleep.

  One of the best decisions I made was to book this accommodation. The couple is charming and incredibly kind. Their home is beautiful, and the view from our room looked straight to Teide. The shared courtyard is something amazing, one of the best places to watch the sunset. They welcomed us with lovely snacks that we could enjoy during the wonderful sunset. Thank you for everything. I highly recommend it to everyone.

  Everything was fine! The apartment was very clean and well equipped, even with small things useful when you arrive somewhere on holidays (salt, oil, spices, hygiene stuffs, etc.). We were welcomed impeccably with food and beverages the day we arrived. The landlords are really taking care of their guests like nowhere else. I warmly recommend this place!

  Extremely warm wellcome with all explanation about the appartment. The owners are realy wonderful. We got some extra drinks annd snacks every two days.

  This is one of the most unique places that we ever stayed at. Unlike many other places this is not just an apartment to crash in the evening. On arrival you get greeted by the hosts that show you this charming place. You get everything you need. Even shopping bags, beach umbrella and sun sunscreen in case you forgot one. The hosts provides you a list of places to visit, where to eat and where to shop. And this is not all. You also get little unexpected surprises that makes you feel even more welcome.
  You are not getting just the apartment but the whole experience. Highly recommended.

  The appartment is one of 3 in the house. Our Appartment had a view to Teide.
  Our pppartment itself was quite big for two persons and had everything and more provided (bathroom with shower, kitchen with all utensils, oil and herbs, balcony).
  Moreover there is a big shared area connecting the apartments which is like a very big living room with sofas, where one could also just chill or meet with other guests or the hosts. It also had an extra bath with washing machine.
  The interior design is exceptional, there is also a lot of really good selfmade Art everywhere.
  The Hosts are super nice and were also providing a big welcoming snack with local specialities and drink and also a goodbye gift and were providing us even access to the garden of one of the other apartments which were currently not booked and had a wonderful view over the sea.
  
  Altogether it was a really wonderful experience. I would say I never feeled more welcomed and cared for at an holiday apartment.

  Cruzy and Ruben were the most adorable and amazing hosts we could imagine. The apartment was decorated with lovely handcrafted pieces which gave it a very personal touch and the attention of them made our stay a very special one, we felt like home from the first minute on.
  
  If we visit Tenerife again, we would definitely choose Casa Arbol again and stay with Cruzy & Ruben. Big recommendation!

  The best hosts ever! Cruzy and Ruben are really really nice! Amazing welcome, they supported us with info about places to visit and restaurants in the area. The apartment is nice and confortabile, in a beautiiful and suggestive setting. (The hosts house Is Amazing!) If I have to find a negative spot that's the bed. Too small for us. But we are used to a king size bed so its just a metter of habit! I highly recommend staying in Cruzy and Ruben apartment!
