You know what struck me first about Cosy Mareverde? The name actually fits – it really does feel cozy in that unpretentious way that makes you want to kick off your shoes immediately. I mean, it’s tucked right on Avenida Ernesto Sarti, which honestly sounds more intimidating than it is. You’re basically between Torviscas and Fañabé, and if you’ve spent any time in this part of Adeje, you know that puts you in the sweet spot where you can walk to both areas without feeling like you’re schlepping your beach bag across half of Tenerife.

The whole place has this lived-in feeling – and I don’t mean worn out, more like… well, like someone’s Spanish aunt owns it and actually cares that you’re comfortable. The rooms aren’t trying to be something they’re not, which I found refreshing after staying in places that promise luxury and deliver fancy towels with terrible water pressure. Here, everything just works. The WiFi (yeah, it’s free, but more importantly it’s actually fast enough to upload your sunset photos) reaches every corner I tried, even out on the little balconies. Speaking of which, try to get a room facing away from the main drag – not that it’s super noisy, but you’ll sleep better, and the morning light is gentler on that side.

What really sold me on this place was how the staff seemed to know the neighborhood like locals, not just hospitality workers. The guy at reception told me about this tiny bakery about three blocks down that opens at 6 AM – perfect for grabbing something before the beaches get crowded. And honestly, that’s the kind of intel you need in this area because while Torviscas has everything you could want tourist-wise, sometimes you just want a proper cortado and a pastry without paying resort prices. The location means you’re close enough to walk to Fañabé beach (maybe 12 minutes if you’re not rushing), but far enough back that you’re not dealing with the constant stream of people and street vendors. Parking can be a bit tricky during high season – there’s street parking, but it fills up fast, so if you’re renting a car, ask about it when you book. The 8.4 rating makes sense to me because it’s one of those places that exceeds expectations without trying too hard. It’s not going to wow you with marble lobbies or infinity pools, but you’ll find yourself recommending it to friends because everything about your stay just… worked.

  What could be improved: Bit of a trek back from beach in the sun ..what really spoilt it was we had to be out at 10 flight was not till 21.00 had to carry our bags and cases everywhere as there was no where to store them as we were informed that there was a room

  This apartment is really nice and spacious. I appreciated the terrace and facilities, mainly coffee machine.

  Very small but well designed apartment, had absolutely everything you need for short or long stay, very well equipped kitchen and strong wifi. It was generally clean and comfortable, nice position with ocean views and sunny terrace. Close to all amenities.
  
  What could be improved: it lacked Netflix channels which was there on my previous stay 3 years ago, it lacked tv in bedroom. Some attention to cleaning details needed, coffee maker left dirty as well as most utensils not clean after previous guests, had to re wash everything.

  Apartment was nice enough although bed was a small double. No where near enough wardrobe space/hangers for two people. Need tall glasses for long drinks, the glasses too small. The owners really need to think about installing air conditioning.
  
  What could be improved: The complex itself is very scruffy, needs painting/tidying up. Lots of broken and uneven paving around the complex. Stray cats everywhere. The pool area nearest to the apartment has only 4 umbrella shades, no where near enough for the amount of beds.and paint work in pool peeling.
