You know what struck me first about Costa del Silencio Playa Montaña Amarlla? The name’s a bit of a mouthful, honestly, but it actually makes perfect sense once you’re there. The “silencio” part isn’t just marketing speak – this corner of Tenerife really is refreshingly quiet, especially compared to the madness you’ll find up in Los Cristianos or Playa de las Américas. I mean, you’re still only about a 10-minute drive from all that action if you want it, but the location on Avenida Jose Antonio Tavio feels like you’ve found this little pocket of calm that most tourists just drive right past.

The hotel itself has that solid 4-star feel without trying too hard to impress you with fancy lobbies or over-the-top décor. What really works here are the multiple pools – and I’m talking properly maintained ones, not those sad little rectangles you sometimes get. The wifi actually works throughout the property too, which honestly surprised me given how spotty it can be in some of these coastal hotels. The rooms are comfortable in that reliable way where everything just works – good water pressure, air conditioning that doesn’t sound like a helicopter, and balconies that actually give you something worth looking at. Speaking of views, if you can swing a room facing the ocean side, do it. The sunsets are pretty spectacular, and you’ll catch the sound of waves without the noise from the main road.

What I really appreciate about this place is how it attracts a good mix of people – you’ll see Spanish families, some German regulars who’ve been coming for years, and the occasional British couple who’ve discovered it’s way better value than the big resort chains. The staff seem to actually recognize returning guests, which tells you something about the kind of place this is. Parking’s not a nightmare either, unlike some spots along this coast. The pool area gets busy around mid-morning but honestly, if you’re an early riser or don’t mind a later swim, you’ll often have it mostly to yourself. The location means you’re walking distance to some decent local restaurants too – there’s this little place about five minutes down the road that does incredible fresh fish, and the locals actually eat there, which is always a good sign. It’s not the flashiest hotel you’ll find in Tenerife, but sometimes that’s exactly what you want.

  La struttura è un appartamento ubicato in un quartiere residenziale tranquillo e silenzioso. Nell’appartamento l’host ha lasciato tutto quello di cui si possa avere bisogno durante il soggiorno. Ben curato e pulito. Barbara e Vincent molto ospitali e disponibili, ci hanno fornito tutte le informazioni utili su ristoranti e attività da fare nei dintorni.
