You’re about 15 minutes from the airport (super convenient for those early flights), but also close enough to hit up the volcanic landscapes around Montaña Roja when you want some adventure. The local restaurants are solid – there’s this little place called Restaurante El Mirador about a 10-minute walk away where the fish is ridiculously fresh and half the price of what you’d pay in the main resorts. The complex has a pool that’s usually pretty quiet during the day, and the whole setup just feels… relaxed, I guess. Not Instagram-perfect, but genuinely comfortable in a way that makes you want to actually stay in and cook dinner sometimes instead of constantly rushing around.
